The Hobbit Hole XVII - A new road or a secret gate...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A new road or a secret gate...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

BTW Rosie... I'll send you one of these from Sporty's Pilot Shop. H.E.R.E Bottle, with the "Lady J" adapter

(H.E.R.E = Human Element Range Extender)

Sigh...I just finished eating my All-Bran (with 3g soluble fiber which binds with and removes cholesterol from the system). It normally tastes like a cardboard box. But I left the top open and now it tastes like a cardboard box that was left out in the yard for a couple of weeks.

You're tellin' me.

Well, the rest of the breakfast is pretty good...I made a smoothie with the blueberries using non-fat milk...

Maybe we shouldn't talk too much about bran, either, till Rosie gets her water back on... ;~D

Got your water back yet?

I got to sleep in a little today. Only have to put in twenty hours this week, with no classes to interfere, so I think showing up at ten is good. The evenings of this week will be devoted to mega homework, though.

No classes here this week, either.

I think we MAY have water...I haven't checked yet. Was supposed to be back by eleven.

I've been reading your story most of the morning. Man...I wish I had your creativity! I'm really enjoying it so far. The idea of a world where science and magic struggle for balance is pretty cool.
