I guess I don't trust a medium that can't get automatic, uncensored feedback. I like to read the analysis of dozens of other people.
Mm...looks nice!
The best bookstore locally USED to be in Littleton, NH...I can't remember the correct name of it, 'cause we just called it Bob's bookstore, after the guy that ran it. It had just two floors - all the kids stuff was down in the basement. We got our Hardy Boys books there! And many other things, too, over the years.
But he retired and moved with the store to a place that's hard to find and now specializes mostly in first editions and collector's books - mostly deals over the internet, I think, rather than through a storefront.
I miss it. *snif*
When both movies came out, the actor/director/somebody specifically called a news conference to say the POTUS character was inspired by Bill Clinton.
Still, Bill may have had a hand in the script, since the Hillary-character got killed off (but had a heroic death) in ID. That convinced me the movies were more fantasy than "Mars Attacks".
Oh, you think I read the thing for the News!
My, you have got the wrong end of the stick.
Funnies! Flyers! Classifieds! That's what we're after...
But... I read the two slightly-amusing comic strips online... guess I miss the flyers... and I'm suspicious of classifieds anyway. "Kittens free to good home". Suuure. It's code for a drug op.
Is that wheat or corn bread dogs?
"The sauerkraut is under the pfeffernuss. Let the frog flamenco. Stuned beebers are seriesly vey hugh, and teh 1337. Stix Nix Hix Pix. For more info call 867-4309."
I'm almost tempted to place that ad.
ROTFL!
I thought about it when he flew the plane out to the USS Lincoln, and got off the plane in that flight suit!
You'd have to call and ask, I guess! ;-)
Ooh, it was tempting a few times.
Then there was the "3 man hot tub - perfect for hunting camp".
I dunno what to think 'bout that one.
Go on their websites and you can download the circulars! They usually have great early Sunday morning deals!
Okay. So I guess that it's an annual thing? Or more frequent?
I was taking a creatiuve Writing class recently; it was offered by the county library and it really was great!
It's every November. It's a challenge rather than a contest - just involves attempting to write a short novel (50k words) during the month of November. It's a little crazy, but fun. Jen got a bunch of us into it a few years ago, and we've done it every year since. This is the third year running. I finished the first year, but gave up at about 10k last year.
I'm gonna do it this year! I'm determined!
Who cares? He's GREAT eye candy! ;o)
I just found manga "scanlations" (pages scanned in, then English translations edited onto the page) of The Series Which Must Not Be Named! I've heard the manga's really good...
Oh dear Lord, you're joking, right??? The Bent One in a flight suit?!?
(Cheering)
"Rosie-lass, Rosie-lass, Rah, Rah, RAH!!"
