Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Yours indeed. :-)
I'd be reasonably confident of driving it back (to MI from PA), but might take my cousin and his F150 nd a towrope just to be on the safe side.
*waves to everyone in the Hobbit Hole*
Jen - does this place need some decoration or WHAT?!
I'm still angry, but slightly calmer. I went and played for a few minutes - just me and Bilbo and one other brother. I have no idea if anyone else had showed up earlier. The pub had set up chairs for an audience that wasn't there - I have no idea if someone showed up earlier and gave up on us.
He was angry that I was angry. Bilbo, that is. Said I was totally overreacting.
I'm not gonna think about it any more, 'cause I'll just get hot and bothered again.
Grrrr...this is soooo typical, though!
Gonna put on some Perry Como for awhile. If that doesn't relax me, I dunno what will!
Ruh-roh...Perry Como (who my main guy likes) is now singing my very favorite love song of all time...a song just called "Because". Gorgeous lyrics.
Because you come to me,
with naught save love,
and hold my hand and lift mine eyes above,
a wider world of hope and joy I see,
because you come to me!
Because you speak to me in accent sweet,
I find the roses waking 'round my feet,
and I am led through tears and joy to thee,
because you speak to me!
Because God made thee mine,
I?ll cherish thee,
through light and darkness through all time to be,
and pray His love may make our love divine,
because God made thee mine!
I'm writing a good scene, too. Getting chills. Gosh, this is silly!
200 words and then I get to watch some anime...
The programs I use are secular ones, and I add on the Catholic education with books I've chosen myself.
If your daughter has some good friends now, just keep her meeting up with them after school when possible or on the weekends. They don't have that much time to visit during school hours anyway; most don't even have lunch together because of the way they schedule groups in school nowadays. You might also find a local homeschool group and let her visit with some of those kids before beginning as well. That way she can see that there are kids her age doing this, and she'd likely have some fun! Check your state homeschool message board; Google a search for homeschooling and your state, and you'll find something. Dittos on the letting her just get used to being at home first. You don't need to push the academics right away; let her do some reading or do some activities that she's always wanted to try, but never had the chance to with her school schedule. When you do get down to doing the actual work, you might find that it takes her a LOT less time than that in a normal school day to do the work.
You can pull her in the middle of the school year, if you feel it's necessary, or you can just spend the remainder of this year getting all your duckies in a row. It might be fun, though, for her to help you with the planning, if she's willing, and not having to go off to school every day gives y'all lots of time to do that! ;o)
Evenin' everyone!
Now Hair, didn't I say last night that the wind wouldn't come! Never say that prayer doesn't work. *wink*
Gee, if you have the contacts to stop wind, I appreciate your selfless sacrifice of saving it for me and not using it on Florida!
*laughing*
Don't I wish. If I had that kind of power, I certainly wouldn't be working where I'm at.
Besides, all those hurricanes helped Dubya win re-election, so wind is my friend for now.
Heh.... twisted!
We all put in for a lotto pool at work today and had a great time picturing the look on the managers' faces if we actually won!
*sigh* I'd be buying a great big chunk of land in Washington and get me some horses! And, of course, make the proper arrangements to get everyone together for one helluva Moot!
I'm off to bed. Baby's got a stomach bug and it's gonna be a loooong night!
Found what? ;~D
Did you call us?
Always love hearin' from the troops! Thanks for sharing!
I like that one too...like the year. But it doesn't show the interior...which isn't that big of a deal...the interior is restorable.
I've done a lot of research on them. (When I can't afford something, I research.) Rusty pans can be a problem.
Tonight I was telling Steve I hated to get rid of the van because what if we wanted to go on a trip? He said "With the money we save from not insuring a 3rd car, we could rent a car for a trip!"
How's the writing?
Club ran late due to technical difficulties - ie, club leader got nervous about showing licensed anime so we had a big fight about what new series to see. It was fine, though. I love geeks... a whole row of us got arguing over what the best English equivalent to "Shinagami" is.
