I think maybe we should all get off our computers and come back in a hour after we eat dinner w/our familes. Relax a bit, than turn the tube back on. This is making me crazy so I know it must be making y'all a little crazy as well!

I realize this.

I believe early exit polls are leaning Dem this time, MUCH MORE than they usually do.

In my unit at work, we have 15 people, 4 of the women said they didn't vote in the morning because they looked at the lines and didnt think they could vote and get to work on time.

The GOP vote hits primetime between 5-7pm.. If exits have Kerry hanging onto a slim lead through early day voting, I LOVE our chances.

Note to self:

In September of 2008 sign 2 month lease on log cabin high up on a mountain with no TV, radio, or internet. Don't come back to Florida till Thanksgiving.

"Still just an exit poll."

I can name a dozen exit polls that were later proven to understate the GOP vote. I challenge anyone to name an exit poll that overstated Republicans. An early call for Bush has a very good chance of sticking; people, reserve your full skepticism for early close calls for Kerry.

I'm sitting pretty with 160 Bush shares I bought at 29.2.

When did you get those at that price?

You get off first. If after an hour you haven't made any more posts, then I'll get off. Promise.

PLUS I thought exit poll results were forbidden from release until AFTER the polls close. So what we have here are a few selective UNSCIENTIC exit polls being released and a whole bunch of Freepers are soiling their diapers as a result.

Virginia might be an even EARLIER key.

They close at 7:00pm.. If Bush is up 6+ in Virginia, I think we got it won.. Dems have been claiming that they made it competitive.

The pollsters could all be jumping out of tall buildings when this is over. They have been all over the lot; they are sick..sick...sick.

This emotional roller coaster we have all been on is crazy. Stop the train, I wanna get off; but alas I can't!

We're all DOOMED!!!!

LMAO. Yeah, it is going to be real hard for my DH to pry me off this thing tonight. I just told him that i will be staying up all night if that is what it takes and also told him he gets to bath and put the kids to bed. He voted for Bush of course, but he is not as obsessed as I am, LOL!

We need to steel our nerves. It's the beginning of a long night. Let's not have any trips to the emegency room for chest pains.

Half-hour ago.

Could be Soros, could be panic, I don't care. It's irrational, and when markets are irrational, rational people make money.

OTOH, we'd be soiling our diapers without them too. :-)

Just we wouldn't have anything to talk about.

I've heard the numbers are tightening pro-Bush in the latest exit polls

Did you even read the message you replied to?

Go back and read it again, and then apologize to me.

I said I thought the exit polls were skewed towards Dems early because GOP votes late!!

SIGH! KNOCK-KNOCK!!! IS ANYBODY HOME??? Pay NO attention to early exit polls. They are WORTHLESS. Gore was up 9 points in Colorado early exit polls in 2000. Guess what? He LOST Colorado and the presidency as well. Again. Pay NO ATTENTION to exit polls!
