Sabato thinks Bush will now win the election, and he believes that Bin Laden tape was a boon to Bush's reelection chances.
Remember what Sabato said during the summer: He thought Bush was going to lose.

Paula Zahn on CNN is doing her damndest to help Kerry, by noting that Kerry's reference to not capturing OBL today was minor, but that Bush decided to politicize the tape.
Then she went off with Al Sharpton on how OBL should have been caught by now. MSM doesn't know what to do with this, because they think this gives the election to Bush.
Keith Olberman was the same on MSNBC, noting that Bin Laden did NOT endorse Kerry in this tape.
Sorry, someone had to watch CNN......I'll wash off now.

I didn't see it but my hubby just came in with the veins standing out mumbling about BO saying that and the unknown(to him) professor agreeing. He said he thought BO could use a louieville slugger to the head right about now.
He is always telling me that Fox is nothing more than a shill for the RATS.
What do you expect out of a man that lets his p*nis do his thinking for him?

He should have kept his mouth shut...

Sabato says Bin laden tape was sent out as a recruiting tool for terrorist. Says terrorist want Bush to win election! (?????) Ofcourse the terrorist want Bush to win the election, they love being chased out of countries and hunted down and killed.
To: redstate38
I think the fact that Bin Laden decides to finally show himself may help recruitment to some extent, but I don't know that a second term for Bush would neccessarily encourage recruitment. If anything, the probability of a terrorist recruit meeting with an untimely end is mucher higher if Bush were in the White House than if Kerry were president. Then again, I never said terrorist types were smart...

"Says terrorist want Bush to win election."
Sabato is going beyond analysis and into activist mode. What's the motivation? Is it similar to Andrew Sullivan's?

Meanwhile, Kerry surrogates are trying to spin this as an "Osama did this intentionally to make you hate Kerry & support Bush, so he REALLY wants you to vote for Bush, not Kerry, so you should vote for Kerry to spite him" while desperately trying to appear not to be that obvious.
If this were gymnastics, they'd all get '10s' for contortions. Quite entertaining, really....

B.S. He didn't say that.

Generally speaking, from the POV of analysts, Sabato is correct. A Bush victory means we stay the course in fighting the War on Terror. OBL is quoted as saying recruitments to Islam went UP UP UP after Sept. 11. And from the look of things in Iraq, they were still recruiting jihadis to fight us evil infidels.
With Kerry in power we go back to the UN circus and the jihadis are unimportant again. They feel important when the world is focused on killing them.

Its really a win for Osama bin Laden either way. If Kerry wins then Al Queda will claim another victory like Spain. If Bush wins then he can say that that was actually the intended effect of his tape. Either way bin Laden will claim victory. Whatever, we will keep killing them in any case.

Osama bin Laden will claim victory regardless. That is their M.O. However, everyone knows that if Bush loses then the Islamofascists will be celebrating openly in the streets. If Bush wins they will declare a hollow victory from their caves.

If the al qaeda types wanted Bush to win, they would cool it in Afghanistan and Iraq until after the election. Oddly, they have been doing everything they can to make it look like a mess over there.
To: redstate38
Let me see if I get this right. OBL runs through all the Michael Moore, Bill Maher, Al Franken, John Kerry, Al Gore, Leftwing talking points. He hits on the 9/11 Bush goat story, the Bush stole the election in Florida, the Bush and corrupt Arab leaders, the comparison of suicide terrorist v. those who launch cruise missiles......all TO HELP BUSH WIN.
Then I guess all those American Bush haters were also out to help Bush. A LAUGHABLE LIE!
No one can be 100% sure of what the actual results of the these terrorist tapes or the propaganda of the American Bush haters will ultimately be. But one thing is obvious.
OBL and the American Bush haters say what they say for the same reason: they all consumed with hatred of Bush and they are desperate to drive him from office.

Sabato was horrible ion Oreilly tonight. he kept repeating, and Oreilly stupidly kept letting it slip by, that Bush has been behind in the polls all year in the leelction year and may be making a 'miracle' come back? He said he may be the second Harry Truman who was behin din his election year and went on to win. This is the biggest piece of crap I have ever heard.
I haven't read through thei thread but I couldn't believe this crap. Sabato has all of his facts wrong and has to know he is making Bush look desperate, needing a miracle to win this? What in the world is this crap???
