...moderate interest and ZERO knowlege is a shoo-in for most polls.

Hey there - this morning we saw lots of guys with all their hunter-orange and cammo gear getting ready for the chickies...I just spoke with one young fella at the motel to see how it went, and he said that their group knocked down 13 and collected 10 - absolutely amazing considering all the wind, rain, mist, and cold today.

I had to purchase more appropriate raiment at a place called Pameda today.

Man, does it ever get chilly up here, and that fifty mph wind must be felt to be believed.

Having a blast, but ready to be home manana.

Cheers, everyone.

Pamida. (the first 2 letters of Paul, Mike & Dave,,, the sons of the founder)

Amazing that anyone got any birds today. The birds were nested in and not flying down here.

I hope you get a big Pork Chop for dinner,, preferable a smoked one.

Welcome to Iowa.

Windy? windy?

There've been calmer torandos than this...in fact, we had dinner in Belmond last evening, where a lot of the talk was about the October 13,1966 tornado which pretty much wiped out the little town.

We flew into the DSM from Houston yesterday, and will reverse the plan tomorrow, noon-thirty - then the drive back home, with luck.

Cheers, friend.

I bet Champagne John is eager for the end of the campaign: no more pretending to enjoy sitting with a bunch of low class working stiffs, sipping vile American beer. That, and he can stop wearing that silly field jacket and Lance Armstrong bracelet.

Oooh, that picture! My eyes hurt. My head is reeling.

This flashback probably isn't going to make you feel any better:

To think that Arafat was the most frequent visit in the Clinton White House hurts me. Why the Jewish people still vote Democrat is a mystery I will never understand.

President Bush is the best friend they've ever had in the WH.

When you can't be with the one you love (because she's locked up until the election),

Love the one you're with...

U.S. Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry (news - web sites) (L) attends a rally with actress Kirsten Dunst in West Palm Beach, Florida, October 29, 2004.

That photo of Kerry with Kirsten Dunst reminds me of something I saw in this week's Enquirer. They have a photo of celebs acting like celebs, i.e. Bruce Willis using the ladies room, and they have one of Kirsten parking in a Handicapped Space...in Fl of all places where Seniors have oodles of legal handicapped stickers..

Blubba is fighting to stay awake and in his chair as he listens to the only guy who can prattle on more than he.

Where are the pizzas?

Amazing. Prolly one her best shows - I thought they were all "real."

We're here in Clarion, IA, where I learned that the civil authorities announced to the local slaves that their children would be permitted to "trick or treat" from 5 - 7 pm this evening. (Saturday!)

I know that we are descending into a total police state, but when do city councils tell folks the day to celebrate an event and the hours to do so.

And sure enough, we were dining this evening at a local restaurant when in wandered a globlin with her bag of loot to be with her parents...I asked my brother what was the time - 6:59pm.

This is not the country I once knew.

One of the (very good) reasons for Communities to designate a Trick or Treat night has to do with people from neighboring towns bringing van loads of kids into a small town and canvasing the neighborhoods for candy. Sometimes this started as early as a week before Halloween and occurred as late as a week afterwards.

If you'd ever had as many as 75-80 kids tromping up to your door demanding candy a week after Halloween, you'd appreciate the town fathers getting involved.

Trust Me. It is a VERY GOOD thing to have designated dates and times.

I know people in our little town who have candied kids from as far away as 35 miles.

We've always had a designated treat night, it's much safer for the kiddies and the residents aren't being constantly interrupted answering their doors.

I do know what you mean about the parents shuttling their kids into unknown territory, we have that here, too. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would allow their children to have candy from someone they don't know. After all, we constantly tell them not to take things from strangers.

G'morning. I am sad to report that I resisted the urge to purchase an electrified styrofoam pumpking carved to say: "The WITCH is IN".

It was $25. Now I wish I'd gotten it.
