Amazing. Prolly one her best shows - I thought they were all "real."
We're here in Clarion, IA, where I learned that the civil authorities announced to the local slaves that their children would be permitted to "trick or treat" from 5 - 7 pm this evening. (Saturday!)
I know that we are descending into a total police state, but when do city councils tell folks the day to celebrate an event and the hours to do so.
And sure enough, we were dining this evening at a local restaurant when in wandered a globlin with her bag of loot to be with her parents...I asked my brother what was the time - 6:59pm.
This is not the country I once knew.
One of the (very good) reasons for Communities to designate a Trick or Treat night has to do with people from neighboring towns bringing van loads of kids into a small town and canvasing the neighborhoods for candy. Sometimes this started as early as a week before Halloween and occurred as late as a week afterwards.
If you'd ever had as many as 75-80 kids tromping up to your door demanding candy a week after Halloween, you'd appreciate the town fathers getting involved.
Trust Me. It is a VERY GOOD thing to have designated dates and times.
I know people in our little town who have candied kids from as far away as 35 miles.
