Sounds like the Administration is forcing them to go to a number of rock concerts, IMHO.

So ABC's Nightline interviews Vietnamese Communists (under the watchful eye of a Government handler) to confirm to all of us that Kerry is a "hero" while ignoring the testimoney of men like Congression Medal of Honor recipient Col "Bud" Day--and now we get more proganda from the MSM.
In the Civil War, Gen Sherman had "reporters" like this hung at dawn. When asked to comment, he said:
"We shall have news from Hell before breakfast."

Speaking as someone who was there at almost the beginning, this is a bunch of crap. The detainees at GTMO were treated better than the inmates in our own prisons. We had to stop interviews so these guys were able to pray. Everything done was watched, there was no way these guys were mistreated.
I can probably guess who their unnamed sources are. We had some problems with translators early on, so I would suspect those were the unnamed sources.
Besides, look what "news media" this is coming from. Give me a break.

So the NYTimes figures to have their cake and eat it, too. If the rant elects Kerry, great! If not, then it's fodder for an immediate impeachment effort against GW.

Ya know something? The "torture" that is described sounds a LOT like some parties that I have been to in Raleigh.
Seems that I had one hell of a time there!
Hoping to get stripped naked.
Small dance floor.
A/C kicked up all the way.
Strobe lights.
Hard rock music blasting out from 12 speakers at full volume.
Back in the day('69-'71), torture meant fingernails pulled out by pliers, clubs across the bottoms of the feet, a propane torch across... Well, you get the picture.
These pussies have no concept of REAL torture.
(I still have trouble sleeping at times.)

Cuba gets hot, hot, hot. If the prisoners actually have air conditioning, they are being treated much too well.

Great. Another meaningless nothing to be blasted at max volume by the media, that we'll get to hear the left dishonestly repeat and hype until we're all nauseous. If any of these hypocrites gave two squats about any Iraqi we'd see a lot more coverage of mass graves than Abu Ghraib.

"un-named sources" ? Isn't that the operative phrase for this didn't really happen but we're going to say it did for KRAZAY KERRRY.

I suspected that MSM would try one more round of Abu Ghraib abuse revelations in the next 2 weeks, too.
That's about all they have left--
GWB's NG has gone 3 rounds this election cycle.
Abu Ghraib was kept on the front pages for 2 months.
Who is the NYT endorsing? Do you really need 3 guesses?

This is it? This is all they've got? I wouldn't worry about it. Does anyone seriously believe that any American really cares about those detainees? I don't think so.
If there were serious abuses, like REAL torture, or murder, or something actually series going on, that might be a story. This is all BS, putting panties on someone's head is not torture. I truly think all these "US POW TORTURE" stories only have legs and/or resonence in the liberal media. I sincerely doubt that any of these stories influenced anyone's vote.

"routine mis-treatment" of detainees at Guantanamo: claiming they are stripped, herded into freezingly cold air conditioned cells, then subjected to strobe lights and ear-shattering rock music.
If there are no pictures nobody will care. Also, this is too lame to be called "mistreatment". It sounds like Woodstock.
