Forget about worrying about the polls. Go out and work for the GOP, whether it's for the presidential race, a congressional or senate election, or local state races. Liberals need to be defeated everywhere. They don't exist exclusively in Washington D.C. They lurk in every town and city in this country, and it's going to take lots of hard work. There's plenty to do folks. Yes, it looks as though the race is turning for the positive for President Bush, but John Kerry is not the only liberal in America who needs to be defeated on Nov.2.

Yes the polls are starting to trend towards Bush but give a couple of bad days in Iraq, and a domestic terrorist attack, and they could swing the other way. Bush also has an annoying tendency to rest on his laurels or otherwise become complacent when he thinks he has command. All Bush supporters need to take action in their families and communities to help bring about the biggest possible turnout on Nov. 2.

[ The momentum is swingng back. Can you feel it! ]

NO...

What I feel is millions of Oprah-ette sheep stampedeing toward the clift. Can't hear the bleating but outside of Free Republic it must be deafening.. I think I'll stay in here with the choir but I just can't screw up my face correctly to present a really good gloat..

Feel it?! Heck yeah! I'm already taunting all my Liberal friends with it! THEY know it too! They're not admitting it yet, but all the signs are there. They got no fight left in 'em. They are completely demoralized!

That poster is worth a thousand words. If dorkiness were nuclear power, Tehran would already have the nuclear fuel.

Hmmm.

I watched the McGlaughlin Group and the thing that struck me the most was that both Clift and O' Donnell said that Kerry's strong debate performance kept him from being buried and gave him a legitimate chance to win the election.

Buchanan said that Fn's lesbian comment may have cost him the election.

Debates? Ohhh, you mean when Kerry made himself out to be a Jackass in front of 51 million viewers by slamming a guy's daughter for no clear reason.

Of more consequence, however, was the way Kerry insulted his wife.

I sent the following letter to the editor to my local paper and emailed it to all my friends and (enemies):

To the editor:

The question was easy. Tell us about your wife.

Tell us about your wife?

What truly astounded me was how Kerry completely avoided the question, given the great opportunity to say something nice about his wife in front of a huge national audience.

Teresa has had a bad time of it during the campaign. Her use of street-corner language definitely took some of the blush off the rose as to her sophistication and intellect.

The campaign had tried to keep her quiet after several temper flares.

What better chance did Kerry have to resurrect her standing? After all, Teresa has been very active in a multitude of important charitable projects.

George Bush had just told the story of how he and Laura first met.

His love for her was so plain to see!

He actually got a little goofy, looking like a teenager with a crush.

Imagine Teresa sitting in the front row, watching all this love and anticipating her husband's response to such a soft ball question; a question that even Joe Sixpack in Milwaukee could hit out of the park.

And how utterly disappointed must she have been when Kerry decided to talk about his mother instead.

We all know about wife - mother-in-law rivalries.

A mother knows her son best.

"Integrity, integrity, integrity" she said, like she knew something about his dark side.

Kerry's national disrespect for Teresa was outrageous and gave the viewers of the debate a small glimpse into his soul.

When given the stage, how could he not say a single positive thing about her?

I don't get it!

It's obvious to me that the Kerry's marriage is another Bill/Hillary cliffhanger, at best.

I don't feel it, either. It's not a lost cause, by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not the same as it was before the debates.

When we had a festival in August, I joined about 20 other people in passing out Bush-Cheney stickers to the crowd. This was the week after the Dem convention, and before the Swift Boat stuff got national attention. We could not peel these stickers off fast enough! We got people signed up for yard sign locations and to help at Bush HQ as well.

Tonight, I did the same at our football game. Only two other people came out. None of the 12 people I called made it out there. We got maybe 200 people to take stickers-- and the visiting team is from an area even more Republican than ours. It was almost demoralizing. The most common comment I heard was "I called downtown and offered to volunteer/ asked for a yard sign and no one has ever called back." AND THIS IS OHIO!

Not that he loves lesbians...he LOOOOOOOVES lesbians. He was shouting it. I was a little scared.

I did think they were quoting Zogby's findings on the job approval since no other poll was mentioned. Of course, I have a tendency to switch channels when Eleanor is screeching so I may have missed it.

I used to be a faithful viewer of the show, but have not watched it much since McLaughlin has become such a critic of Bush. I do like to watch Blankley and I think Buchanan has had the best assessment of the debates. I was looking for something to watch tonight and stumbled upon it.

I agree a lot of Pubbies have been depressed because of the less than stellar debates and the resulting decline in the polls. However, it seems the pollsters are starting to detect an uptick in W's numbers.

If this holds, and is not just a momentary blip, then GOP spirits will be restored and the lead, and our confidence, will grow further.
