Yes she does let things slip. Like getting an invitation to a dum fundraiser. I did not take that to seriously though. Dums will do anything for a buck.

"She has always talked like that about Christians."

Because of her own stellar several broken marriages past.

I know exactly who the Cheney daughter comment is aimed at. It's aimed at my CHRISTIAN traditional conservative Democratic family members in N. Carolina and others like them.

They are in real turmoil over all of the moral issues they have to ignore in order to vote Democrat. The best argument that can be mustered for their protection has always been to say to me: "The Republicans do it to."

Abortion, family, self-protection, patriotism, etc.....they always say to me. You've got Republicans that do that, too. (Anything from adultery to support for abortion.)

The gay marriage amendment was a quandry for them EXCEPT now Kerry has pointed out to them that they can say, "See...Republicans do that, too."

So they now convince themselves that these guys all believe the same things and would do the same things and there's no difference.

The big difference for them: Grandpa always said to vote for Democrats 'cause they're for the little guy.

In other words, their voting habits are a type of ancestor worship.

Yeah and I'd tell 'em that my Grandpa wouldn't use indoor plumbing because he thought it was unsanitary...and ask 'em where there outhouse is.

I don't have to worry about most of my family, except for my stepdad. He was a Goldwater Republican until the unions brainwashed him. Out of respect for my mom I (usually) refrain from telling him how wrong he is.

are you sure she said that because I didn't hear it. Can you get a transcript. Because if she did say that it's just plain wrong to say it.

In other words: IT WAS A CALCULATED POLITICAL STUNT, USING A DAUGHTER OF A CANDIDATE.

Typical mean, nasty, bigoted mindset of the left.

Yes. I fully agree.

Calculated.

Watch Kerry say it, though. He obviously modulates his voice to a lower, seemingly guilty quality as he speaks the words.

His conscience affects his posture and voice so that he does a terrible job covering up what he's attemption to do.

Thatis really out of line to call her that. You should apologize for that statement.

What she meant was that Kerry was trying to influence the ignorant christian right by naming Mary Cheney a lesbian.

This means that some christians were "unaware" that the Cheney's had a gay daughter, and he wanted to make sure they knew about it. Unaware & ignorant are interchangable in the sentence.

She has been very vocal about her contempt of Kerry making this statement in the last few days.

Speaking of ignorance, last night I heard Dr. J.P. Moreland mention that the famous atheist, Anthony Flew, shed his igorance and has become a believer in God.

Oh, seriously? Flew's arguments are quoted as classic anti-theist arguments. Do you know, did he come to Christ, or to Rome or nowhere or some such?
