NEW YORK - Michael Jackson (news) is reportedly angered by the way he is portrayed in rapper Eminem (news - web sites)'s recently released video "Just Lose It." The pop singer is said to be so upset that he has asked networks to remove the video from their rotations.
"Michael Jackson is very angry. He feels that Eminem has crossed the line," Jackson representative Ramone Bain told the Daily News in Tuesday editions. "Michael is calling on all networks to pull the video."
In the video, Eminem appears dressed mockingly as Jackson with a group of boys in the background, jumping. Then he sings the lyric in reference to Jackson's child molestation allegations: "Come here little kiddie, on my lap. Guess who's back with a brand new rap..."
Later in the video Eminem also ridicules plastic surgery done on Jackson's nose, and an accident in which Jackson's hair caught on fire while filming a Pepsi commercial in 1984.
So far, Black Entertainment Television has agreed to pull the video, and was expected on Tuesday to announce that it is removing the video.
"Michael feels the video is disrespectful and offensive...it's one thing to spoof someone, it's another to be completely insensitive and disrespectful," said Bain.
Michael Jackson. I thought it was Jesse.
launch.yahoo.com has the video...its a typical eminem video..and whats jacksons problem anyway... its not like eminem is making this stuff up?
/sarcasm
maybe jackson should sTOP giving everyone so much material!!!!! H E L L O???
Michael Jackson vs Eminiem is sort of like Frankenstein vs the Wolfman. You don't really want to root for either of them.
I'm not a fan of Eminem, but this sounds pretty funny...
I just watched it. It's hilarious! I have more of a problem with the kids gyrating around. Like an old saying go, the best comedy is based on things that are true.
steve harvey..who is a huge MJ supporter was on the air this morning all in a tizzy over it. he was saying that ememinem needed his ghetto pass revoked and lets see how he does without the rap community..and basically dared him to say something bad about a rapper like shug night or scarface.... harvey came off like the whiney liberal he is... i laughed and turned the channel!
free speech? what free speech? thats only if your depicting the president as hitler... if you depict MJ as the molester he is.. than you is trouble!!! LOL!!!
Man, we have to get Eminem to do a rap song about Barbra Steisand!
It's hard to dislike the guy. Most of his rhymes are very witty and in-depth, the man can flat-out rhyme, much to the chagrin of most black rappers who've spent years in the industry and accomplished nothing.
Plus anyone who can make Moby and all the stupid teenybopper boy bands pee in their pants is a friend of mine.
'Without Me' has to be one of the funniest videos ever.
Lol @ "ghetto pass".
I have been cable deprived for almost 4 years. Therefore I've missed most of his videos. I've heard a couple of his songs though, and they're kind of funny.
I was thinking Peter Jackson. I wondered if Eminem had dissed the Hobbits.
Really? I find it effortless.
So, do people actually still watch music videos? Are there any channels that still play them?
I thought those things became obsolete along with parachute pants and hair-metal bands.
Someone needs to remind Steve Harvey that Eminem is new to the Jacko Bashing Club. Run-DMC, the duo that brought rap into the mainstream with their cover of Aerosmith's "Walk This Way," ragged on Jackson in their video for "King of Rock" in 1985.
I don't know much about Scarface, but do know that Suge Knight is the closest thing America has to John Gotti nowadays. Eminem would be foolish to seek Knight's displeasure since as a hip-hop artist, he must as a rule run in the circles where Knight wields heavy influence. Knight has denied being involved in the deaths of either Tupac Shakur and/or the Notorious B.I.G., but it's clear that he doesn't mind that people think he might have been if they fear him as a result.
On the other hand, we have Jacko, a multitalented performer that only comes around a few times in one's lifetime, who also happens to be a mentally disturbed freak who hasn't been given the help he has desperately needed for decades because he only hangs around people who kiss his butt. He paid multi-millions to a kid who accused him of being a pedophile, continued to place himself in compromising positions with children, and bitched and moaned when people were suspicious. He's gone from being a dark-skinned black kid with a wide nose to a man whose skin is whiter than pale, and whose nose now resembles the barrel of a Bic pen, all the while insisting he has only had two cosmetic surgery sessions. He has a mug shot photo that looks like it might well have been mixed up with a snapshot of Joan Crawford.
Hey, Steve Harvey, get a clue. While most people respect Jacko's talent, we all are laughing at him, not with him. And here's a news flash, Steve; Michael Jackson hasn't had street cred among the potential consumers of Eminem's stuff since Eminem's been around. Jacko "jumped the shark" with the HIStory double LP, with its pathetic single "(Have You Seen My) Childhood."
