Why did John Kerry assume that only Bush, himself and Charlie Gibson make more than $200,000. What an elitist attitude and direct slap in the face of the audience and the people of St. Louis. Kerry is condescending in his manner of speaking and his comment completely betrayed his arrogance. I was hoping for someone from the audience to stand up and say 'I am one of those evil rich people you are so dead against and I create the jobs that you keep talking about'.
I was thinking the same thing. What a presumption!!! Jerk.
Haven't you heard? Lurch knows everything.
Don't think that a lot of people did not see that insult as well.
Please go into more detail I had to take daughter to school event tonight.
He is Captain Condesension Kerry.
I bet that it can be proven that he was wrong.
Because he's a stinking, lying, dorky, doofus horse's ass.
Next question.
he was speaking about the audience based on his keen eye of fashion.
he figured because no guys had a manicure and the women did not smell like money(he has the nose for money)or dress in the type of designer clothes his wifeman wears, the audience must be poor or will be if he becomes president.
What a friggin' snob. And Kerry married money - he didn't make it. What a feeb...
I was stunned to hear that also. Why on earth would any thinking person say that to people? What ignorance. I'm still flabbergasted.
KERRY DOESN'T EARN 200,000 A YEAR!!!!! HIS WIFE DOES!!!
You're right. There were 100 Missourians there. That means the odds are that at least ONE of the "richest 1%" was in the audience. That went through my mind immediately.
I thought the exact same thing! Who the hell does he think he is!
Kerry doesn't know what people make. He gets an allowance.
There are small farmers in that MidWest that have farm equipment that sums out to cost more than John Kerry's 100' luxury yacht.
This is a good point. No one else in the audience is permitted to make $200K or more, you see. It isn't done. It just is not done. Not done. Tisn't.
That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw that.
Like the kid next door who, when I left the townhouse I'd bought 2 months earlier with the intention of renting it out to my brother, and sat down inside of a 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0 in desparate need of a paint job, asked me: "Do you work for the Homeowner's Association?".
You should've seen his jaw fall when I said, "No, actually, I own this house".
Inconceivable to that kid that someone who has the money to buy a townhouse would drive around in a then 14-year-old car needing a paintjob.
To some people, image is everything.
He is a smarmy bastard, he even said it in a smarmy way
