What is this wipe's email address? I'm going to let him know as well of my decision to never purchase his product.
He is wrong IMO on his vote and his decision to publicize it.
Having said that, I have no problem with him sticking to his guns and taking the consequences. It shows guts. Not a weenie like Kerry.
I'd be willing to bet that he alienated a good bit more than half of his market. His market has to be very close to that of the firearms's market. I'm sure he has some burly teamster type pro-union thugs that buy his product, but I guarantee a huge portion of his market is the hunting and fishing crowd that will be voting for Bush in droves. What an idiotic business decision on his part.
Christmas is coming. His tools are NOT the right gifts to buy.
Bloggers, remember to pass this around, so someone doesn't buy one by accident.
"Dancing. Everything else is BS."
I do not do the tool buying in my house anyway,
but I'll be sure to pass the boycott word.
Yep. That would be my husband and our neighbors. None are Democrats, but I'm sure they've never had any concern over Leatherman before since I've never heard them mention the name. I'll admit, I never listened for it, either. Guess they will now. I'll make sure of it.
DANG! We even put the two in the same order!
THIS is scary!
I agree, its his company and his vote and he can do as he pleases.....BUT I dont have to help support him with even one thin pennys worth of business and my pals wont either..I feel the same way about those Hollywood Liberals, Michael Moore, etc.....not getting my little bit of money wont hurt them, BUT neither will it be there to help them :)

this link takes you to an article in The Oregonian. Basically, this dork Tim Leatherman (can you say "name change") turned his back on the users of his gear: military, firemen, cops, rescue, etc, which, according to my un-scientific poll, not overly enamoured with a guy that bearcrawls with a shotgun to hunt deer. I hate leatherman tools anyway.
Gerber is a much better piece of equipment for the money. If anyone has any insight on Gerber's endorsement they might want to let them know that the commercial studio is waiting for them to undercut the tree-hugger from Oregon.
You're right. My very right-wing husband has several Leatherman products and we've bought them for family members throughout the years. That stops today.
The kicker is that Gerber makes a better product anyway. I've got the Gerber, and find it superior to the Leatherman.
I'll let my husband know! (Hey, I don't know anything about any of them :)
Gerber makes a better tool anyway.
