Did anyone else believe that Edward's had no right to announce to the entire world that Cheney's daughter is gay? No matter if she is out to family and friends, I found it kind of appalling that John Edward's would use this fact about Cheney's family to announce it to the country. Memo to John: SHOVE IT.
Rock was a Republican as well. No way would he get employed anywhere in the industry today.
Edward's is nothing but a girlie man....and a scumbag...he was trying to throw a low blow....and Cheney didn't let him have it....he made the girlie man look like a complete idiot!!!
You're right. It was a smear attempt. It doesn't matter that it is no secret, what mattered is that Edwards wanted to get the word out to all the people that didn't know. Cheney handled it well, but that's not the point. Edwards was outing her for the sake of all the people who hadn't heard, and reminding everyone who'd forgotten.
What a creep. If a Republican said something like, "oh, by the way, we're proud of you're homosexual daughter," the media would crucify him.

Edwards was condescending and classless, but Cheney handled him with class. His response was brilliant.
Cheney should have remarked regarding healthcare that even though you love your wife, she is unhealthily too heavy and we shouldn't have to pay for her healthcare, but it's nice that you love her anyway.
She may have outed herself in 2000, but she didn't sign on to be used as a wedge issue by a low-class Senator in a presidential debate. I thought it was completely out of line.

Even though this is public knowledge about Cheney's daughter, IT IS JUST TYPICAL OF THE LOW-LIFE TRASH THAT THE LEFT WILL SAY AND DO, just to get elected.

Yeah, sort of. I forget who was the moderator, but he asked him a question about gay marriage which he originally intended to ask him first, but first asked Leiberman. I thought it was pretty petty, as it seemed to be asking Cheney if he really loved his daughter (and as long as they aren't hurting anyone, there's no reason not to continue giving your kids your unconditional love), but he handled it with grace and calm.
Sure...this is common knowledge about Cheney's daughter...but that scumbag Edwards did that on purpose to throw a dart to Cheney's conservative base.
Cheney should have leaned in towards Edwards and uttered: "Ambulance-Chaser"

It was all over the lamestream media earlier this year when the gay marraige issue was hot. Cheney made comments in the press at that time regarding his feelings on the matter. It was also brought up several times in 2000.
Outing is the revelation of a secret homosexual life. Hers was not secret.
At best, the headline is inaccurate or a lie.
