Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

300WM - That is a fine looking knife, I'm sure RC will be surprised. Great find, congrats.

Glad you made it back S&S; prayers for a clear MRI. Wash U has a great medical school and fine facilities.
To: g'nad
Yup, raining nicely off and on all day. Got a couple of inches so far and it is welcome here. Hope you got some there.

Sam, the .270 is a fine caliber and Rem 700 is fine rifle. Would certainly be up to do anything I would want to pursue.
Read many Jack O'Conner stories and books in my youth. His favorite was the .270, his wife favored the 7X57, also an excellent round. In the new AR it looks like the new Model 70 is going back to its roots in the pre-64 model.
To: Corin Stormhands
Corin - your fortitude sometimes astounds me, yours is certainly different than many others but your adaptation and even enjoyment of life's vissitudes does keep the rest of us amazed. Kudos.

Good evening!
Woo-hoo! Three whole days off in a ROW! Just got back from class, so I'm DONE for the time being.
I get to sleep in tomorrow! Which probably means that I'll wake up at five thirty and be unable to fall asleep again...but it's the principle of the thing: I don't HAVE to get up then if I don't feel like it.
Again, woo-hoo!
