Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hi everyone!
Love the stuffed horsey, but not too sure about the dead critters hanging from fence posts....

And the strollers... they looked like a cross between a Hummer and the Mars rover. Okay, I gotta admit. The Mrs. and I were pretty excited when we got to get Luke's stroller with cupholders (for us).

I don't know how my Mama survived it, but she used to give my just younger sister and me a pot and a spoon when "Romper Room" was on and they had their 'band' playing. We'd march around the house just singing and banging the spoon against the pan. We were children #s 6 and 7 of the family, so I guess she was good at tuning out the noise by then!
Did I freepmail you my cell phone# in case you need to contact me? I'll send it to you in just a minute.

No, no... it's not the critters on fenceposts... it's the skins of the enemy stretched over the gate... that's what really makes the difference. :-)

Weird looking thing. Just a guess... but that's probly because it's a toy poodle. "weird looking" and "poodle" sorta belong together in a sentence. sorta like "Kerry" and "Dork".

That is the best movie. Seriesly, it's a cult classic among college students, people with too many younger siblings, etc.

Didja get to start "Full Moon wo Sagashite"?
Fun club night. I thought about skipping, to study, but decided I need my weekly insanity. Got sort-of complimented on "singing exactly like the theme song", which is a sort-of compliment because the theme is really obnoxiously sung.

Didja get to start "Full Moon wo Sagashite"? Not yet. Hopefully this weekend, though! Only catch is that my hard drive is finally full, so it means getting rid of Scrapped Princess. I have SOME of that on CD, but some the bothers took, so I've been hesitating. But I guess I'll live. ;-)
