Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hard lemonad has alcohol in it. Mike's hard lemonade is popular... and I think Jack Daniels has a brand out there... some others.
Mike's has great commercials.

I've found that stuff to be really great out in the boat on a hot day. Too good, really... goes down way, way too quick and easy.
Suddenly to think its a great idea to race the tugboat and beat the barge across the channel...

Guess you'd know, chemical whiz. Ok, thanks. I was just curious. Think I'll stick to the vodka-based lemon drinks.

I just checked, and the King Arthur store is open until 6 on Fridays. We could meet you there, if you like.
Here is the webpage that has the directions. It is in White River Junction, just a few miles south of Norwich.
Are you sure you want to drive all the way down there? If we do get to go to Waterbury to that appliance place, we could just as easily drive back through Montpelier and meet you some place there for supper.

Yahknow... back in college we somehow ended up in the possession of a pint sized bottle of pure ethanol.
Tasted like fire, only hotter.

Hehehe...I once worked at a lab that kept 50 gallon drums of (potable,if you could stand the taste) ethanol. We had to account for every bit we took out of that drum.

Oh, I forgot that. She weighs 1 lb. 6 oz. and is 12" long. Sounds like she just fits in Matt's hand. I know they are just so worried. I'm going to put her on our Parish Prayer list this week, too.
I'm sure they've done that lung treatment. It is amazing what they can do for preemies nowadays!

It's really up to you! I go to WRJ pretty often, so it's a trip I'm familiar with...and it's a straight shot down 91. Montpelier is a shorter drive, but a twistier one - can't get there from here by interstate.
Though, if that's just as easy, it would give us a bit more time...except that White River would put you further on your trip towards home, wouldn't it?

Speaking of hard stuff, I need to get some non-pasteurized apple juice and let it harden a bit.
To: Overtaxed
Holy moley...
That stuff we got we could only tolerate as a spiker for punch, with lots of pineapple juice. Sipped straight... it was like gasoline and battery acid. On fire. Most unpleasant.

Just finished. Well...more or less happy, if not very satisfying...though there's that one VERY satisfying aspect. . . Roy and Lt. Hawkeye (whatsername?) end up together! Woo-hoo! I was just about tearing up when it looked like he had died before she could tell him. That was just WRONG!

but chainsaw guy misses... since his hand is gone.] [sound of bottle breaking]That commercial just cracks Clare and Joseph up!
We have just wierd kids. I asked Paul, our oldest, what he wants for his birthday (turns 25 tomorrow) he said he wanted a new board game called "Blood Bowl". It's a fantasy football game with teams of Orcs against Humans. Apparently there's a league and everything. They even have a team of High Elves! SSQ and I just howled laughing when he asked for that. I told him, I was proud I raised such a peaceful child. ;o)
