Oh, there are Krispy Kremes in PA... in CO... and across the midwest, based on my trip out here. They're everywhere.
The place I go to will toast 'em for you if you ask. AND they have good coffee...and a selection of other caffeinated beverages.
It's one of my favorite places!
I don't go there often these days, but we do occasionally pick up a big bag o' bagels on Sundays for after church.
LOL!! Gross, but totally appropriate!
You have an oven... Put em on broil for a very little bit, just enough to melt the butter and a little toasty.
Vey yummy.
What? Surely there's a Pawn Shop in Ft. Collins.
What a wonderful letter, 2J! It is too big to post here, so I'll link to it instead.

This is the actual letter I ended up sending...
September 28th, 2004
Commander
Dear Sir,
Three years ago, on September 11th, 2001, I recall sitting with my husband in my living room, both of us still reeling from the events of that morning. Our two little boys were in bed and we had the television off and we were just sitting, talking. It was quiet...no airplanes flying over on their way to and from Tulsa International Airport.
Slowly, my husband and I both became aware of a sound...a low "thunking" sound. A military helicopter! It was so low that our windows rattled.
We both went out in our driveway in time to see a helicopter fly right over our house. My neighbor across the street came out of her house and ran to me and said "Oh Kim! I'm so scared!"
"Don't be scared!" I replied. "When you see something like this, you know you're safe!" In my heart, I prayed a prayer of thanksgiving for whoever that was flying over. I also began my habit of praying a "hedge of protection" around the military helicopters and F-16s that fly over my house.
My two little boys and I also began another tradition...we decided that every time we heard a military helicopter fly over, we would dash out and wave and cheer for our troops. My children are homeschooled, so we're often home during the day when they fly over! We thought if someone happened to glance down and see us, they might be encouraged.
We enjoy seeing them so much when they fly over. We cheer and wave our flag at them. We have since learned that these are Black Hawks. Even our neighbors have started watching for them!
I'm pretty sure they've seen us down here waving. I'm afraid we make quite a spectacle of ourselves. Well, at least I do.
Sir, I am so proud of each of the soldiers in those helicopters. I'm so grateful for their service. I suspect that there are some specific soldiers who are flying over my home that have seen us. On behalf of myself and a group of friends who also support our troops, I would like to present them with a small token of appreciation. They can either contact me or I can send these gifts to you to give to them.
One particular soldier I saw was flying the helicopter from north to south, down Memorial, at around noon, September 19th, 2004. I live in Bixby, near Memorial and 131st Street, behind Riverview Baptist church.
Thank you for any assistance you could give me in this matter. I know this might seem like an odd request, but my boys and I have been waving at these helicopters for over three years now and I finally just decided to write.
Sincerely,
Wow, what an encouraging letter!--thanks for posting that!
