Oh, all the Dr. Scarpetta novels...Doesn't Patricia Cornwell write those? And those really easy to read ones that are so fun...like "Q is for Qarry" and such, by Sue Grafton, you know? Not exactly forensics, but still pretty good!

OK...I just wondered which authors you meant! I haven't read those...Dad has, I think.
I like the older mysteries most, so far, with a few exceptions. Detective stories from the 30s and 40s and 50s, mostly!

I like that! I almost bought one back when I lived in Austin for $1400. Steve tried to talk me in to it, but I talked myself out of it, being sure that it was (like everything else in my life) a bad idea.
I regret it now...I'm dying for one.

Hey, get some of Sue Grafton's alphabet books. Start with "A is for Alibi" and read 'em. I think you'll get a kick out of Kinsey Millhone! And they are very easy reading...something you can just read and enjoy for a few days and move on.
But start with the A one first...get to know Kinsey!
