If for no other reason then the fact that Hal Jordan's one of the few known conservative super-heroes in comics. He's a wishy washy conservative, but that's still better then the hard leftist that is Green Arrow, with whom Hal was paired with for a while, during the time when they were essentially the comic worlds version of Hannity & Colmes.

Fortunately, there's more reason to pick up Rebirth then that, because it's shaping up to be an EXCELLENT mini-series, helmed by a capable writer. It should deliver on all counts.

I just read Green Lantern: rebirth. It was excellent. great art and great writing.
I was on a comic book messageboard (yes, I am a nerd) and someone was trying to say Hal would vote for Kerry. Ya, right
