Christians should spend more time in praise of God for His mercy and less time foolishly worrying that He might lose control of His creation.

I would never think that God would lose control of His creation. That is the one thing that comforts me when I look at all of the evil in this world. I know God is in control and that nothing happens that He hasn't ordained.

Amen, Ladyinred. I really only discovered how reassuring that was after I had children. For the first time in my life I felt more vulnerable than I ever imagined possible.

But remembering that nothing happens to us by chance and that every hair is numbered according to His promise, I could sleep knowing my children were "in the shadow of His wings."

It really is the greatest comfort. I'm happy you share it.

It's also particularly comforting, to me, to see the care with which God is fulfilling a long list of Biblical prophecies for these end times.

And, His detailed, 'little things' carefulness toward each of those who truly Love Him--is often incredible. We read about the hairs of our heads being numbered--but we really don't fathom that level of detailed knowing and Loving. It is so foreign to our selfish world and selves.

But it gives encouragement and hope that Heaven really will be awesomely, indescribably, infinitely better than this sin stained globe.
