Ummmmm, Jonah?
U R MOST WELCOME.
PTL!
LET US PRAY all the more for our families, our President, the election, FR and our Republic as well as
for the Body of Christ in general.
Yes there are, especially in Africa where the dead are raised, people healed and delivered from witchcraft. There are none so blind who cannot or will not see!
Now, in the true spirit (no pun intended) of FR, will you please provide scriptural rebuttal to my arguments ?
Jonah ??? What exactly did Jonah prophesy that didn't come true ??
There's a Mexican head pastor over a bunch of branch churches.
He WILL NOT EVEN CONSIDER a young mininster to be a
CANDIDATE for minister
WITHOUT HAVING !!!SEVERAL!!! WELL DOCUMENTED RESURRECTIONS FROM THE DEAD CREDITED TO HIM ALREADY.
Simply put, the so called miracles and healings that happen today are not of the same character of that in the bible.
Please don't insult my intelligence with that lying crap.
MORE THAN SUFFICIENT MATERIAL IN HERE:
BK:
YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHECY Prophetic Gifts in Ministry Today by
EARNEST B GENTILE with Forward by Peter Wagner
He documents, BTW, the Old Testament true prophets who missed it and were not stoned.
I doubt seriously your relationships with your kids are as intimate from their standpoint as you construe them to be. I don't trust your perceptions or your judgment in such matters at all. But, I suspect they might be able to teach you enough about listenig WERE YOU TO DECIDE TO BE TEACHABLE that you might even learn to hear God!
Interesting that you have great fun stealing a thread in violation of forum rules. But when someone annoys you in an area dear to your heart and purposes, then THEY are beyond the pale. Great double standard.
QUIT STEALING THIS THREAD.
I rebuke you, in the Name of Jesus.
But I won't provide YOU with the well documented references.
You really are a piece of work.
Let's see . . . (using Petruchio's revised version)
Something about shortly after Jonah was whale puke, Jonah told the people of (I think it was) Niniva that God was going to stomp them into the dust. The people repented and God spared them.
Jonah ended up sitting up on the hillside sticking out his lower lip and pouting . . . (sounds like some on this thread)
You as a false teacher have no authority to rebuke anything or anybody in the name of Jesus. Leave his Holy Name out of your anti-biblical anti-Christian rantings and ravings.
I had a dream last night that as soon as the polls closed President Bush was declared the winner. It was a landslide. I was at a morning gathering the next day and Ron Silver was there and I asked what was the final result since I had gone to sleep early the night before. Everyone answered matter-of-factly that President Bush had won, of course.
The example of Jonah is nowhere near the true false prophets of today.
I understood you correctly to begin with. It's still the same type generalization that you accuse me of.
And the origional objective of this thread was to discuss modern visions etc., to lead folks to repent and pray . . .
The difference is????
The difference is that "modern day visions" are neither prophecy nor do they come from God.
How do YOU know that?
God is the same, Yesterday, Today, AND Forever. That means that if He granted visions in the past, he can do it now if He wants.
If God wishes to reveal something to us dummies, who am I to rebuke God?
Because the bible makes the case for itself being the final revelation from God. It's time for you people to think about the ramifications of your beliefs. IF the bible is not the final and complete word of God for us, then the bible is lying about itself. If the bible is lying about itself in one area, then we cannot trust it at all, which means we have no reason to be here as Christians.
To put it another way, Who is to say what is actually a word from God and what is not, unless it is in the Bible ? God is not the author of confusion, but person X can just as easily say that God "told me" to divorce my wife, contrary to what the bible says. Who's to say he's wrong ? It lessens the reliability and authority of scripture.
