Something about shortly after Jonah was whale puke, Jonah told the people of (I think it was) Niniva that God was going to stomp them into the dust. The people repented and God spared them.
Jonah ended up sitting up on the hillside sticking out his lower lip and pouting . . . (sounds like some on this thread)

Whenever biblical prophecy prophesied pertaining to someone's destruction came about, the matter of repentance was always open. That doesn't make it a false prophecy. In fact, Jonah only serves to prove my point, because the only reason he didn't want to go was because he knew the people would repent.
The example of Jonah is nowhere near the true false prophets of today.

I suspect one of the reasons Jonah was pouting was because in the eyes of the people, he'd have missed it as a prophet because God relented due to the people's repenting.
