I read on another message board that right before Kerry took the podium he removed something from his pocket and set it in front of him. They are saying it looked like a piece of paper. If Kerry had a cheat sheet that would be a blatant violation of the rules and could sink him for good. If this is true I wonder if Bush perhaps saw this and it flustered him?
I am unable to view this because for some reason I can't get the C-Span video to play. It's 2 minutes into it.
It doesn't matter.
I still say Kerry had the questions beforehand. He was too quick with his answers and did not have to think at all.
i agree. I think he had the questions but can't prove it. Just a feeling. He's not that good. and his answers seemed to be so played off of.
I agree, it may have been the list of questions.
Thanks
No doubt. The fix was in.
If you compare the quickness and directness of his responses in the debate with his responses during any general interview, there is a huge difference.
I agree. This is meaningless.
I few months ago, I would have never thought something like this was possible. Now, I believe the leftist media will do anything to steal the election.
therein lies the problem. He can't be trusted. I sat here calling him "liar" during the whole first 1/2 hr. He is arrogant and too "pretty" for me
He didn't need the questions. Only Bush got bizarre unpredictable questions and that gave Kerry time to think. Kerry responded with one word answers and then launched into pre-planned answers. Bush looked less polished because he didn't want to ad lib his way into a mistake that could be exploited later -- like Kerry did.

Sorry for the double post.
Even if Kerry had the questions beforehand, President Bush didn't seem to have the answers when they were asked. He groped for responses. Those questions were all about his record during the past 4 years. I understand his disdain for Kerry, but he dissed all of us with by being hacked that anyone had the audacity to question what he's done the last 4 or what he plans to do in the next 4 except hold the course in a very difficult job.
I think a large part of the problem was Kerry's responses. Whenever he answered a question he hit Bush from 5 to 6 different directions, and there was no way Bush could respond effectively to each one.
You choose the weakest and debunk it. The Prsident in gerneral didn't. And for that matter, he should have been able to launch his own 5 or 6 fronts againt F'n. He didn't. He was not properly coached, prepared and willing to share his record and his plan.
Yes he did. He had questions before hand....but the Bush administration already knew he would. They do understand the liberal loons and what absolute CHEATERS they've always been and always will be!!!
"President Bush didn't seem to have the answers when they were asked." Just because the President pauses or reflects before answering a question doesn't mean he didn't answer them (he did), silly.
