"I think the United States should have offered the opportunity to provide the nuclear fuel, test them, see whether or not they were actually looking for it for peaceful purposes. If they weren't willing to work a deal, then we could have put sanctions together." -jfk from tonight's debate. Where to begin. Peaceful use of nuclear material? They are sitting on one of the largest supplies of petroleum fuel in the world. So much for the energy argument. That leaves...other than peaceful? Gee, it worked so well the last time that we gave a maniac nuclear material (re: Kim Il Jong/North Korea), let's do it again. If it doesn't work this time, we can use sanctions. Cuz they are so darn effective. I mean, just look how effective they were against Saddam. Or Kim Il. Or Iran. And they would be enforced by the UN. Hey, the UN did a great job in Rwanda. And look at the yeomen's work they are doing in Sudan. Bush might pronounce it "nucular", but he has enough sense not to give it to those maniacal mullahs. Good thing I'm wearing pajamas (which are very similiar to garments worn throughout the Muslim world), because if Kerry is elected, Islamofascism has won. If this meme doesn't take off, the Right is through.
There are FR posted articles about this. Do a search and include them here.
Makes sense................might as well give them a few Thermonuclear(ular) devices and see what they do with 'em. If they don't play well with others, we don't give 'em any more.............
After all his crying on the current state of N. Korea, he still doesn't understand "give and inch, they take a mile?" Or, in realist speak. "give them nuclear capabilities and they blackmail DC with a thermonuclear exchange."

Searching seems to have gone out of style on FR.
All the buzz about how Kerry "won" the debate....that buzz will wear off quick and the hangover will hit hard. People are digesting all his "nuance" and it will come right back up!
I wouldn't oppose that if it were heated to 100,000,000ºC.
This message needs to hammered home to everyone you know!!!
Kerry may have won tonight's debate, but he has also sown the seeds of his own destruction!
It is a Democrat tradition to have a #$%^#$ up policy on Iran--thus encouraging instability throughout the entire middle east. Remember Carter? The younger stupider Democrats actually see him as a foreign policy expert.
The Shah of Iran was the BEST friend that we EVER had in the middle east, and Carter destroyed him. And to add insult to injury--when the poor man was dying of cancer he wouldn't even allow him to enter the US to get treatment. He had to go to Mexico. sKerry would just be continuing a long Democrat tradition of undermining democracy and stability in the middle east.
What no one has mentioned is that IRAN MINES ITS OWN URANIUM!
