Le ZOTTE: My very IMPORTANT opinion on tonight's debate. VERY IMPORTANT BREAKING NEWS VANITY! MAYO

[history]
NO ONE ELSE THOUGHT OF THIS SO IT DESERVES A THREAD OF ITS OWN!
I think each and every poster on FR should post a new thread stating his opinion on the debate. This way, instead of having only a few threads with hundreds of posts each (ie, discussion threads), we will have hundreds of threads, each with two comments. One the important opinion, and two, the complaint about vanity posts.

Jim, you might want to consider this if possible at least on November 2nd.
Seeing how slow the server became tonight and the large numbers of trolls that joined, I think it would be a good idea not to allow any new registrations on election day regardless of how the outcome looks to be shaping up. While it might keep away a few legit people, most will probably just be trolls joining to cause trouble. I'm sure the Mods would have their hands full trying to stamp out all the fires they start.

I am as sick of people complaining about vanities as I am of the vanity posts! (or something like that! )8>)

A thousand two-reply vanity posts. Is it liberty or anarchy?
(Oh, and remember, everyone, to put plenty of keywords in there so you can find your vanity post later. That way, you can point to it and say "See, I said it first.")

I think I just threw up a little. No, really, please take that picture down.
Since this seems to be the hangout for the old-timers, can you tell me why freepers use "hugh" instead of "huge"?
Don't get it.
Thanks, and did I mention how addicting this place is?

Hi there!
Welcome to Free Republic!
"Hugh" and "series" get used as a joke, because they are common misspellings for "huge" and "serious".
Especially on a Friday night when some of us have had an "adult beverage" or six.
Thre's all sorts of odd little in-jokes on FR.
Don't let them started on moose, cheese, showers, or dead parrots either.

Oh THAT's just weird.
I used to live iin a very old house in the country.
I was always terrified that we'd turn up something like that when we used the roto-tiller!
