I have an odd question.
Just off the top of my head.

I have been thinking about this for the past few weeks. This is not a put up question. I really would like an answer. Also, if you disagree, then tell me. You ready for the question? Here goes.
When was the last time that a major Presidential candidate has had the support of so many enemies of the United States?

Some of this is tongue in cheek.

Perhaps you mean "etc.", which is an abbreviation for "et cetera".
I'd bet 1984 saw a similar number of Mondale endorsements.

My liberal pinko brother asked me this...
I told him I don't care. I don't... screw them and their opinion.
Easy enough?

1948. Henry Wallace. The Soviet embassy was running his campaign (a remark made by Wallace himself, probably only partly in jest). Don't know whether Venona had anything about him.

I think you will find that in American History Abe Lincoln probably had more of our enemies hating him. And for that reason I predict as in Lincoln's time, that the American soldier will rise up in great numbers and give Bush a mandate. This is not just a re-election. Bush needs to win big. Carry all 50 states... send a clear message of American unity, then on November 3, 2004 he gives the order to flatten Fallujah, Najaf etc. Civil war between the Sunni's and the Kurds? Fine, who cares. Let them fight it out and will pick up the pieces afterwards.

In the fall of 1980, the Soviet press was saying nice things about Jimmy Carter, and how he should be re-elected. One of my professors at the time, who was born & raised in Poland, said, "you know the guy (Carter) is really a bad choice when your enemies are endorsing him."

Every time the US is at war, the appeasement candidate has the support of the 'world community.' Off the top of my head, McGovern, Carter, Mondale had at least as much anti-american support as does Kerry.
The left was just as nuts during the cold war as it is now.
