We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

CAT I HURRICANE JEANNE ADVISORY #32

DISCUSSION

...JEANNE SOLUTION NOW SOLID...ACTUALLY TO THE LEFT OF NHC TRACK...JEANNE WILL WEAKEN BEFORE REACHING NORTH CAROLINA, HOWEVER...

JEANNE is exiting the anticyclonic loop it has been in for a couple of days.  All major models agree on a westward motion and a curve to the north at VT forecast plus five days.  NHC has to maintain continuity with previous forecasts, so they admit their track is quite probably insufficiently far enough west.  JEANNE will be pulled up into a trough between a HP center to its east and west at VT forecast plus four days.

So we're back to where we were around a week ago--the primary threat appears to be to North Carolina's Crystal Coast and Outer Banks.

Intensity is another issue, however.  Dry air appears to be reaching JEANNE from the south and is inhibiting development.  There is also shear over the system, which appears to be subsiding.  Model guidance suggests a modest increase in strength through VT forecast plus three days, and then a gradual weakening.

In the news...

And in a bizzare new twist to Rathergate, the purveyor of the memos to CBS, Mr. Bill Burkett, plans to sue the network for defamation of character and libel.

Turns out that CBS was supposed to protect the anonymity of Mr. Burkett and "expend both time and money authenticating" the memos they were provided.

Also, Tony Coelho, the former manager of Algore's successful attempt at becoming "the former next President of the United States," stated that the Algore campaign was also verbally given this information, but felt there was "nothing there" so they didn't pursue it.

Also, Mary Mapes, a producer at CBS News, passed the name of Bill Burkett on to the Kerry Campaign, it has been learned.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

YOU did not Dolly. You may think you did but it is not true.

Do what you did to get rid of it on a computer with XP and then try to log on again. You will find I am right.

My husband left his alarm on for 5:00 AM. It goes off automatically. He is in Chicago and I am here. I just get up at 5:00 anyway. I like the quiet house.

The reason Biden finds fault with everything President Bush does is because he is very, very smart. During his presidential run, he told us he was a straight A student in high school, held 4 degrees from college and was a 4.0 there. It turns out he was a C student in both schools and held 1 degree. He also plagerized someone's work. He is a piece of work, in my eyes. I hear him, but never listen, when Roomey has the tv on.

Everytime I hear blather tell us something about the documents, I think of the wet trouser event while he was in Vietnam. He's been a phoney for years. Poor Burkett, he thought he was doing something smart....hehe

I was reading about that incident the other day on a different thread. Too funny.

I lost all respect for dan when he refused to call President Nixon, Mr. President, but continued to call him Mr. Nixon. Back then all reporters called the President, Mr. President. That did it for me.

I hope they publicly humiliate him and all the rest of the criminals involved in this.

Biden is just another Delusional Democrat.

What is so strange about this, is I can honestly say I know a lot of people in my community who are Dem and very reasonable.

They are Democrats because the Dem's helped their Great Grandpa hold onto the farm during the Depression. They will always call themselves Democrat, but they are conservative in their hearts. And with the exception of casting their Presidential vote in the wrong column, they vote all over the ballot.

I have some very good friends who are D's. They cannot explain their vote for Prez except to state the D's helped GreatGrandpa during the Depression. Understand these are not rabid people who try to explain or justify the Democrat Platform. They just seem to have an allegience to casting their Presidential votes for whatever Democrat happens to be on the ballot.

I have other friends (solid R's) who chastize me for these friendships.

Sometimes you just have to overlook the flaws in people's thinking in order to keep peace in the neighborhood. If these Dems were people who rant and rave against 'our' party, I would look at things differently. But they aren't. They are good, God Fearing people, who feel they owe something to the Dems for saving their farms.

Hi Toby, good to see you enjoying the farm. The stars are brighter in the country, aren't they?

Jim, prayers for your Mom and Dad and the rest of your family.

My father in law was a DEM for the same reason. The party helped out his grandfather, his great uncle, etc. That is not the party of today.

...they vote all over the ballot.

There's quite a bit of vote splitting in my region of the country as well. Have had my Bush/Cheney yard sign up for almost 2 weeks. Last Sunday, the neighbors kitty-corner from us put up a John Kerry. It hurt to see that as they are very nice and helpful people. Being seasoned citizens, I suspect they have a background of Dem tradition like the one you described.

I found this thread kind of interesting -

Female Trouble: (How Karen Hughes and Laura Bush Are Winning the Election for W.

Of course, plenty of other things are also winning the election for GWB, including the candidate himself, and the fact that he has such a fool for an opponent.

I am back from helping out The Coopster. My daughter in law had to go out of town on business, so he had to get all three kids up this morning and get the two older ones on the bus, plus take the baby to the sitter.

He had most everything done by the time I got there, so all I really had to do was wait until they got on the bus.

When I think of how disorganized he was as a teenager, I am astounded that he gets all this done without getting stressed. He is a good dad, and I am very proud of him.

The Summit county polling that I have done found many split households - even when both are registered.. when I talked with them (the women were mostly the Kerry supporters) they felt Kerry was more sensitive to "woman's issues".. upon furhter conversation the were strong feminists (despite being a repub)& pro choice & believe much of the RAT lines on women's issues. The women's issue is primarily abortion in the discussions.

Last Sat monring when we FREeped the Kerry workers at the west side market.. it was a fairly large group there for Kerry. Maybe 20.. of these, 2 were men. (and this was before the games were on!). This was not a group of weirdos. women aged 25 - maybe 60... and nicely groomed & the several we spoke with were calm & pleasant. They were good spokespeople for Kerry... and they had lots of literature & yard signs to pass out. We had nothing. .
