55 Senate seats, 3.5 million more votes in largest turnout in 40 years... a 50/50 nation? hardly. When will the rats "reach out" to Republicans?
Oh I wish someone would give these tv broadcasters a lesson in Civics. They keep saying (ie. Shep on Fox) that Bush will go on to be our next president. He is our 43rd President, will be so for the next 4 years. Not the next, or 44th which their description would inappropriately imply.
Proper way to say it is: "President Bush remains in office." They are sooo dumb.

I think that folks overlook the steady movement south that has resulted in the new state of AliFloriGa that has 51 Electoral votes which at least for now nearly offset California.
In Florida, the Bush effort yesterday was absolutely amazing. A friend went out for the afternoon and when she returned at sundown had at least 9 calls urging her to vote Republican. I figured things were going well when most voters, especially the young ones, waved at my Bush signs and gave the "thumbs up" signal.

PerkyKatie sat with arms folded and with a very crinkly smile, not seen since her live TV colonoscopy a few years back. It (the smile--not the colonoscopy) was a beautiful sight to behold.
