To: Borax Queen; everyone

Pres. Bush is going to be right up the street from me, practically in my daughters yard. Pease Airforce Base. I would love to go, but I can't face the mobs. I hear they are coming from Mass and everywhere.

All the talk back here is the fact that Curt Shilling backed out of showing with him, and they all think the Kerry campaign got to them. He went to Disney yesterday, but now his Dr. says his ankle is unfit for traveling with Bush.

Yeahhhhh riiiight. Someone did some bitchin, and I think their names are Kerry. Everyone back here believes he would never back out without a good reason. He's not the type.

I need a trip to red rock country now that Lakeshark mentioned the Grand Canyon. Indian Country and the Four Corners area is another one of my favorites. Here is a link to some more about the Navajo-land and the Hopi Mesas:

I believe, I believe.

It's gonna be a fun night, watching RatherBrokawJennings try to hide their contempt for we Americans who refused to believe their "news" that wasn't and who re-elected President Bush in a landslide.

Wow, cp. I agree I think President Bush is gonna win and that it won't be close, certainly not nearly as close as the MSM/dems would like us to think. Still, thats a very high EC total and I do so hope you're right. :) I haven't dared try to figure out an electoral count I'm doing mine the old fashioned way, intuition. :) :) :) I have no idea why but, for a couple of months now whenever I think about election night results I immediately think Bush 53%, Kerry 46%. No matter what the news I haven't been able to shake those numbers.

HOWEVER, while we both may be right, that doesn't mean the election will be over on 3 Nov. The dems have the groundwork laid for immediate challenges so, groan, I'm not looking for the results to be official for weeks. Kerry hasn't the grace to ever concede, he'll declare himself the winner, the press won't say he isn't and he'll name his cabinet. In fact, he has already started rattling off names of potential cabinet members....like are you ready ? Joe Biden ! FOFLOL. If that isn't enough evidence to convince voters that Kerry is thoroughly clueless then I don't know what it would take.

... I immediately think Bush 53%, Kerry 46%

Sounds about right. As for Joe (honest, I wrote that speech) Biden, that sounds about right too. It would be just like John Kerry to continue unbroken the string of inept State Department heads appointed by Democrats.

Washington Dog Phones 911 for Fallen Owner

1 hour, 40 minutes ago Strange News - AP

RICHLAND, Wash. - Faith the service dog phoned 911 when her owner fell out of her wheelchair and barked urgently into the receiver until a dispatcher sent help. Then the 4-year-old Rottweiler unlocked the front door so the responding police officer could come in.

"I sensed there was a problem on the other end of the 911 call," said dispatcher Jenny Buchanan, who answered the call from Faith.

"The dog was too persistent in barking directly into the phone receiver," Buchanan said at Benton County's Southeast Communications Center. "I knew she was trying to tell me something."

Faith is trained to summon help by pushing a speed-dial button on the phone with her nose after taking the receiver off the hook, said her owner Leana Beasley, 45, who suffers grand mal seizures.

Guided by experts at the Assistance Dog Club of Puget Sound, Beasley helped train Faith herself.

"She's a real trooper," Beasley said Thursday.

The day of the fall, Faith "had been acting very clingy, wanting to be touching me all day long," Beasley said.

The dog, whose sensitive nose can detect changes in Beasley's body chemistry, is trained to alert her owner to impending seizures before they happen.

But that wasn't what was happening on Sept. 7, and Faith apparently wasn't sure how to communicate the problem. During Beasley's subsequent three-week hospital stay, doctors determined her liver was not properly processing her medication for the seizures.

"So my whole system was not working right," she said.

Faith "was just very concerned," Beasley recalled. "She wouldn't let me out of her sight. She wanted to be touchy-feely."

After her adult son left for the graveyard shift, Beasley tried to go to sleep. But Faith kept jumping up on the bed, which is off limits.

"It's kind of hard to sleep when you've got an 80-pound dog running around in circles on your bed," she said.

So Beasley got up and checked to make sure all the doors were locked and that there was no one outside. She made another attempt at sleep, but Faith would have none of it. "Within five minutes she was doing the same thing all over again."

So Beasley got up again and decided to make some hot chocolate.

The last thing she remembers is reaching for the tea kettle.

"I didn't feel anything," she said. "I just went unconscious."

After the call from Faith, Buchanan dispatched Richland police Cpl. Scott Morrell. He arrived to see Faith and her predecessor, now-retired service dog Bronson, peering at him from Beasley's front window.

Morrell knocked, and then realized the door was unlocked.

"Faith had already opened the door for him," Beasley said. The dog has been trained to recognize police officers, firefighters and medical personnel as "special friends with cookies."

Inside, Morrell found Beasley on the kitchen floor — unconscious after striking her head in the fall and suffering a seizure — and called for medical assistance.

Faith watched intently while a paramedic tended Beasley and at one point tried to tell him that another seizure was imminent. He didn't recognize the signal, but minutes later, "Boom, I went into another seizure," Beasley said.

She woke up in the hospital several days later. Faith joined her after her transfer to the Veterans Administration hospital in Walla Walla.

Authorities learned about Faith's intervention when Beasley stopped by to thank Buchanan and Morrell after her release from the hospital.

A Benton County Emergency Services news conference Thursday put Faith and her owner in the limelight.

I do so love it when you agree with me. :) LOL.

From various things he has said on talk shows I had a suspicion that Biden thought he might be in a Kerry cabinet, I just had no idea that anyone might seriously consider him. LOL... Odd that you mentioned Sec of State cause that was what I thought I heard earlier today but that was just toooooo absurd to be true... especially since that silly twit Richard Holbrooke has been vying for that position for months. Also, Jamie "Mr Christine Amanpor" Rubin probably has his eye on that position, too. ('suse me,please) Gaaaaack

Holbrooke would make a great Secretary of Arrogance but Kerry probably would reserve that post for himself. As for Jamie Rubin, his smartass demeanor as spokesman for the Clinton State Department would probably endear him to France and other condescending states but he appears to be the type that couldn't run a blender, much less a Department of State.

"You don't like our beloved senator?"

I have to be very careful to limit my exposure to democRATs.

Funny story. Today when I went to do the poll worker training, there were two doors going into the lecture hall. I, along with several others, were trying to figure out where we were supposed to go. Naturally, I walked up to the first door. Some of the others had walked up just ahead of me and I heard this lady inside saying that this was the Republican line and the line at the other door was the democrats. This group that walked up at the same time I did immediately proceeds to the other line. Well, being short and all, I guess she didn't see me before, so I started to get in line. This lady looks at me and says, "democrats are over there." I looked at her and said, "do I look like a democrat to you? I've never been so insulted in my life." After the laughter in the line died down, she says, "no; no you don't." So then, after everybody was registered and seated, this same lady was passing some materials around. I was sitting in front at one end and when she got to me, she gets this kinda funny smile and says to me, "you're a troublemaker, aren't you?"

I really had to bite my tongue though. When she said that one line was for Republicans and the other line was for democrats, I wanted SO bad to say, "why? Do we get different training...theirs teaches them to cheat and ours teaches us to prevent it?
