I just love Mark Steyn. Every time I read his articles...I am saying TOUCHE'.

In this one, I especially liked his explanation of why we can't have cheaper prescriptions from Canada.

I once saw a naughty hat featuring an asparagus spear ... but I cannot remember it.

Asperagus Spear, or Little Green Alien Sex Organs?

But Babe, how can you not you believe the Dems who preach that everything is a "right" and should be "free," whose favorite expression is "the American people deserve" and who contend that what's theirs is sacred but what's yours is "fair game"?

And not just the dems. I once had to stand up at a Republicans Womens meeting to chastise our Republican sheriff who was there as a speaker.

He was trying to get a fed grant to improve our jail. He kept saying it was "free money" since it was from the feds.

Sigh....

Too true. The tendency to look upon "government money" as "free" hypnotizes people of all parties into believing that their own greed is really just "fairness."

The elected county sheriff is the last line of defense against the tyranny of the fedgov. If they are able to co-opt your sheriff with "free" money bribes, grants, joint "task forces", or equipment - beware.

That is an endangered species a rare bald goose, a dangerous animal that carries all sorts of disease, has been known to prey upon defenseless children and the elderly, and which all but the most fearless hunters avoid.

It takes unusually good marksmanship to bring one of those babies down. Only a steely eyed, hardened combat veteran would even attempt it and then only to keep his fellow human beings from being attacked by this monster of a bird. Thank heaven for John Kerry.

"If they are able to co-opt your sheriff with "free" money bribes, grants, joint "task forces", or equipment - beware."

I've recently been hearing that our democrat (big surprise) sheriff is quite corrupt. Seems we have a long history of large quantities of ingestible and smokable evidence disappearing following big drug raids under his watch. I've also notice that they're selective about who they keep in the jail here. I have met his challenger in this election. Nice guy. Of course, I didn't have much opportunity to get acquainted. I also discovered that the county administrator in our office is the ex-wife of said corrupt RAT sheriff.

Many of our county governments are just as, if not moreso, corrupt and inbred that in the District of Criminals. Sad to say.

Dems Register Al Qaida Terrorists in Ohio Vote Drive

Democratic Party activist groups in Ohio have registered at least two known terrorists involved in a plot to blow up a shopping center in a bid to get out the vote for John Kerry.

Nuradin Abdi - a Somali immigrant and admitted al-Qaida member who was indicted earlier this year as part of a conspiracy to blow up the Columbus Mall - was registered to vote by the civil rights group ACORN, according to the Columbus Dispatch. ACORN has spearheaded an aggressive Democratic Party vote drive in key battleground states.

Iyman Faris, another new Ohio voter added to the rolls by Democrats, is currently serving a 20-year jail sentence for his role in surveilling potential al Qaida targets - including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Dispatch said.

According to the Ohio News Now TV network, Abdi's name was added to the rolls by ACORN employee Kevin Eugene Dooley, as part of the group's Project Vote operation.

Dooley was indicted earlier this year on two felony election offenses -- false election registration, and submitting false election signatures to the Ohio Board of Elections.

"As far as board of elections is concerned, Abdi is a registered voter," Ohio board of elections director Matt Damschroeder told ONN.

Only after Abdi's case was exposed did Ohio officials strike his name from the voting rolls, due to his status as an illegal alien.

Faris became a naturalized citizen in 1999 but is not eligible to vote because he's an incarcerated felon.

I heard on the radio this morning that voters somewhere in Ohio were being induced to register to vote with rocks of crack cocaine.

I am SO proud of my country.
