A lot of these actors have hurt thier careers by opening their big, stupid mouths. Most of them have ruined any movie they're in for me. Why should I spend my hard-earned money to support people who hate everything I stand for? There are some exceptions, of course, where the work itself is so brilliant as to be able to overlook the stupidity of some of the performers, although they are few and far between. Lord of the Rings is good example.
I am half blind in the morning. I miss stuff even when I proofread.
One more half and you'd qualify as a Democrat.
Never! At least I make important decisions based on what I see, not what I think I see....or what I think I want to see....or what I want to think I see...or what some gum flapping politician or air-headed pundit tells me I want to see.
AGHHHHH - I KNOW and that is so upsetting!
I just realized grannie9 is in NH based on loddy's greeting last night. I kept thinking you were in Maine - for some reason - I kept remembering the coastal and lighthouse pics you posted. Beautiful state - love the small towns and history.
So there is hope for me?
Oops - konked out with cats by the fire and missed the party :) I just wanted to say - what else was Dreyfuss ever in anyway? So many of these actors speaking up for Kerry are washed up anyway, and appeared in perhaps one blockbuster in their lives.
We lived in NoCal and the water was too cold (other than for hard-core surfers and certain greased up swimmers), so we weren't too, too afraid ... ha. Do you remember a movie named "Rollercoaster" with surround-sound? That was scary too.
*Smooch*

Post #28 - Saki could go be a Viking Kitty!

Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Mr. Holland's Opus, What About Bob.....gosh, he's been in lots of movies. He really is a very talented actor. Such a shame that he is a complete moron.
Great pics - once I refreshed the page and all the red X's went away.
Morning, everyone.
Fotki is plagued with red x's today. I don't know whar's up with that, but it's been that way since yesterday evening. It happens every once in awhile.
Ick - saw Close Encounters a long time ago - haven't seen the others. Dreyfuss always seemed like a droopy whiner to me who had no appeal. I think the ones disturbing me and whose movies I did like are people like Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Sean Penn, that one who moved to France (at least he put his money where his mouth is)... Shawshank Redemption (Tim Robbins) was one of our favorites, but now we can't watch that anymore.
Oh no - it didn't work?
The Red Star is happy to report this morning:
"Foes: 1 word could derail Prop. 200
Most voter petitions say 'welfare'; initiative doesn't"

ARIZONA DAILY STAR
PHOENIX - A one-word discrepancy in the petitions describing the Protect Arizona Now initiative threatens to derail the measure even as voters are filling out ballots."

None of those ever did anything for me. Well, I did like Julia Roberts before, but not now. And Jack Nicholson. Fabulous actor, but a liberal a**h*le. Harrison Ford is probably my single biggest disappointment. I just adored him, form Star Wars to Indiana Jones to most everything he did following. He always played characters with such high integrity. Who'd have thought he was such a flaming liberal moron? Oh well, I guess that's what makes them good actors. *Sigh*
