"Maybe I should wait until the end of Nov to go down this year..? The END of hurricane season." Take lots of New Hampshire fall picutres and post them for Dixie. She's back in Texas now, but is homesick for the autumn colors of New England.

"they invited Michael Moore to come speak, and they are paying him $27K +." The only way Michael Moore would be worth $27,000 is if it would be guaranteed to get him out of the country and shut him up.

"I think the scariest place I've ever been was Peru" Now you're talking down in Horsie's territory.

"I have a ghoulish, mortician sense of humor. All the skeletons in my house scare people sometimes." This should get interesting.
To: Borax Queen
"when we post our pictures, you'll see" I'm looking forward to that.

"I cannot take the "diversity" garbage which is continually shoved down our throats either to the detriment of the majority" Amen to that. Whenever we have these asinine diversity/civil rights/(insert your special rights group here) sensitivity "meetings," I usually arrange to have previous commitments. Thankfully, I probably live in the most homogenous town in Arkansas.

Evenin' :) Yes, both were malbec, reminded me of a bordeaux, and from the Mendoza region. I should have made the distinction that Achaval Ferrer is the winery or vineyard and the wine Finca Altamira (I just checked the note I scribbled down the next day when I spoke with our hostess). Yes, she mentioned that Cheval des Andes is owned by the Moët Hennessy/Louis Vuitton group and the wine we had was one of the first Argentine wines they've released.... so, I've either lost part of that note or she just gave me the name of the vinyard and failed to tell me the wine. Everyone enjoyed them very much. :)
Thanks for the info about the carmenare grape, I'll look for some Australian and New Zealand wines next time I stock up. :)

"They are only babies just so long, and I love to prolong it in their looks, especially little girls." I was trying to hold out till Tyler's 2'nd birthday before cutting his hair. He had the prettiest curls. But came up about a month shy. He was starting to look like a little girl. LOL!

"there is a snake on my deck" LOL! When I first read that, I thought you said there was a snake on your desk! All I could think of is how on earth does one get a snake on the desk and why, in heaven's name, is she still sitting there typing?

"Well, get over here and capture it and take it home with you." .

"Are you finding FR slow and not working well, or is it me?" I don't think FR has been working well since the last down time when we started getting only 50 posts to a page and 20 on our ping pages. It's starting to seem lik e a low budget site with the constant overload. I keep waiting for it to get fixed, but it seems to be in an indefinite holding pattern. Yes, I am whining.
