I'm still shaking. Yes, it was a juvenile cotton mouth. My husband killed it with a hatchet. I don't know if it is true, but I have been told that baby venomous snakes are more dangerous than adults because of the concentration of the venom.

My grandkids are coming over tonight and they will NOT be going outside.

Oh NO; I'm sorry you are shaking!!! Yes, I've always heard that about venomous baby snakes. I'm so used to seeing rattlers everywhere I go, I almost used "AZ Rattler" as my screen name.

I just called our Missouri Conservation office to get some information on the snake...as in should I expect more if they were born in my yard.

The ranger asked me if I had killed it. I told her that we had killed it and I didn't care if was against the law or not. She laughed and said it was perfectly fine and to bring it in to them and they would positively identify.

UGH!

Oh dear.. that is not the kind of news you want to hear. You'll be a nervous Nelly looking for the rest of them. Can they be under the deck? Do they climb trees? How did it get on the deck to begin with?

Are you finding FR slow and not working well, or is it me?

Well, gee grannie, I should have asked him before hubby killed him. LOL LOL LOL

Yes, FR is running show today for me, too. I guess that is why I had the hiccough.

Me at a semi-costume party in Calif.

Dressed as a slut at 22. We had these garage parties every weekend, and usually they lasted allllll weekend. ;) Sigh, we were soooo decadent, but we had lots of fun. Oh, I had a Baret on, but it doesn't show. Sort of Frenchie, dontchano....

Yes, but I still want to know what the saucy chick did at the firetower or wherever that she won't tell us about.

At least she remembers, catpuppy. LOL
