I heard that Cat Stevens was on a terrorist watch list and saw him briefly on CNN, I think it was, in passing, when I was at the the hotel. What a waste. I used to think Cat Stevens was one of the handsomest men I'd ever seen in his younger days, and such a talent. Now he's just another Islamic idiot, and God knows what else.

Those are labels of the winery, but I don't recognize them. Where I am, there are lots of wineries that produce wine from the malbec grape...very good. Next time you are in a decent wine store, ask them if the have a malbec from the Mendoza region of Argentina.
Another interesting red wine is from the carmenare grape. The grape died out in europe but was discovered to have survived in Chile. You can find it from Auzzie and New Zealand...distinctly different from cabs and merlots.

There is a certain beauty and mystery to the desert. I lived for 2 years in the California desert a long time ago. It was a time of real spiritual awakening for me. There's a stillness about the desert that inspires reflection. I spent a lot of hours during that 2 years walking alone or sitting on a big flat rock in the cool of the early morning with a pair of binoculars.
