If Beantown wins the Series and the Superbowl it could be a sign that we're doomed.

Many reports I've read was Edwards brought down Kerry's numbers after he announced his VP pick and he hasn't been helping any since

Notice you don't see much of Edwards on the TV

It's in Revelation, chapter 66.

Like I said before, kudos to the Sox, but now we get to hear Kerry spout their names wrong for two weeks!

You're correct ... it is too kind a word for him

Well BRB .. I have to hit the store real quick .. I forgot I won't have a care again tomorrow

Mike did something to the transmission on his car .. it will only cost $1,250 to have it fix he tells me ..

hey no biggie .. rolling eyes

That's because he cannot leave his mirror long enough to go out in public.

I'm sure that he will take credit for the Boston victory ... and blame President Bush for New York's loss.

Val, have you ever been a passenger on an Amtrak train?

Yes, several years ago I took the train from Chehalis, WA to Portland, OR -- very nice modern train and on time. Then I took a (scheduled) night time trip from Sacramento to Chehalis, WA that was delayed until the wee hours of the morning. We were left at the station without attendants or an explanation why the train didn't show up. It was sweltering hot with hard benches, no snack or drinks vending machines, just a couple of fans on the floor - no AC. However, the view on the trip was spectacular through the mountains, and would have been missed at night.

I love train travel. Yes, I know Amtrak is vilified as being government run and incompetent. But, I have had less problems traveling by train than by air travel.

It has been at least five years since I have been on a train, so I forget the names. But, the one from Chicago to New Orleans is a fun travel experience. The announcement for breakfast serving times includes the menu and that Bloody Marys' are served.

I love the freedom of walking during a trip on a train, especially the sway and hum along the rails. If no one has experienced it, they cannot know.
