Speaking of BBQ, I can't wait for the Austin airport takeout BBQ; that was so delicious.
That's quite a photo.
Once again, baby bq is confused.
It is a spiritual war on many levels!
I just inherited a case this past week. Mom and her boyfriend and her 17 yr old son were busted for drugs. The boy was taken into foster care. He hadn't been to school for over a year and is barely in 10th grade. Mom was sent for an assessment at a drug treatment center where she had once worked....and ran off with a client. It was recommended that she enter a residential treatment program and the information to contact them was written down for her. She was seen and heard as she walked away, tearing up the referral and saying, "I don't care. He'll be 18 next year, then he'll come home anyway." How do you deal with somebody like that?
It's.. um... a pick axe with a garden hoe blade on it.
Can be used for several nefarious ideas.
I'm going to use it to smash a hole into the ground so I can plant my rose.
I ran into two sticks as thick as my wrists buried in teh dirt.
(Aas if that was going to be a surprise! The place had been bulldozed!)
I know it's a rhetorical question but I really don't know... it seems almost impossible. Though I do know people who cleaned themselves up and pulled themselves up by their bootstraps, thanks to one role model such as yourself in their lives. There is so much of that attitude in Tucson - there's a huge population of drug addicts, bums, impoverished, people who don't care about their kids. Tucson is that way for a lot of reasons (close to border, mainly service industry jobs, good climate, so forth). Anyway, I hear a lot of these people's comments (like the one you quoted) when I'm out shopping, and it is hard to take.
Are you burying bodies under the rose bushes?
Alas, no.
Though there is one person who deserves being buried under it.
The jerk who forced me to dig it up to begin with...
Wait... I just saw him drive by.
Hold on a minute.
*Crash screeeeEEEeeeeEE thud*
/ joke.
LOL! I was just digging up MY rose bushes yesterday, heh heh heh.

Thanks BQ for some OIL!
My pleasure - go Resty!
I had this rose up to 5 foot tall with half inch thick canes.. and this jerkweed has me dig up my rose.
Claimed he had to dig where it sat so he could fix the septic.
Lo and behold, he doesn't hae to dig there.
So what's he do?
He digs there anyway and screws stuff up.
Brien Wittman is on WABC now a confused liberal who trys to sell defend the indefencible!

Oh that is terrible - die, die, die septic man! Do your roses die back in the winter? Do you cut them down pretty low? Mine grew up to five feet tall this summer, some are climbing roses, but yesterday I was hacking them up (dead growth, spindly canes...) I have to fertilize them before November.
Thanks - I have to leave for a little bit - will try to catch some.
.
Mine has never died back in winter, and cutting it back hurt it.
So I wrap it in burlap like a tree rose and pray.
I sometimes get blooms mid winter regardless.
The guy deserves to be plant food, but he won't get that way by my hand.
(Fortunately for him.)
He literally said he didn't care, that he'd use a backhoe to dig it up if I didn't.
(It was a Father's Day give from my step-daughter.)
Needless to say, I told him that if he laid a hand on it that he'd lose his arm and maybe alot more than that.
We can get it done here.
