I wanted to throw up when Lurch was talking about rewarding them during the last debate. I've seen FReepers post information how if illegals' children are born here, they are not automatically citizens, even though everyone assumes they are. When Lurch was talking about giving citizenship to illegals "who have American children", I almost drove off the road myself.

Actually, if illegals have babies here (anchor babies) they ARE American citizens. That is why that particular statute needs to be changed ASAP. Makes it really hard to get rid of the parnets when they have a bunch of American born children....or even one. I've read stories of pregnant women planning their border crossings for when they're nearing delivery to make sure the babies are born in the US. It is a travesty for sure. Would almost be worth the money to finance companion hospitals on the OTHER side of the border just to transport these women back to their own country when they check in to deliver. Of course, Fox would have none of it. In his mind, they have a right to full access to American resources.

I read a thread last night with a long LONG list of the injured children in Beslan and it was heart-breaking. THEN it was infuriating! These Monsters must be stopped! I harbor no sympathy for their "cause" and refuse to call them rebels or insurgents. The Chechen fighters are just evil Islamic terrorists, and deserve nothing but extermination.
Anyone with a lick of sense is for securing our borders and enforcing our existing immigration laws be they libs, dims, pubbies, or any other party that may be out there.

I thought I saved that thread but I can't find it right now. There was an entire thread on FR about three weeks ago about how everyone assumes illegals' babies are Americans automatically, but it's not true. I saw the wording - I think from the 1800s legislation or court ruling. Will have to dig up again.
Last night on Extra (I guess it's an Entertainment Tonight weekend extra edition) they had a segment about Kerry's two daughters on the campaign trail. I turned the channel, but not before noticing they are really ugly horse-faced women who resemble their scary mutant dad - and they could use botox injections, too.
This is not the thread I was looking for, but here this is the case they were talking about. This was news to me when I read it a few weeks back...

Time once again to point out that the 14th Amendment does NOT mean what the the government purports it to mean.
The prohibition of "anchor babies" as citizens is in the US Constitution, as written. The Slaughterhouse Cases are the first Supreme Court interpretation of the 14th Amendment on record. The author of the majority opinion is a contemporary of those who drafted and debated the Amendment. Well, a lot of things are done under the color of law and the courts that are not in line with Constitution. I've addressed this issues with out legal people at my job, and they hold that if the kids of illegals are born here, they are citizens.
That does seem to be the problem, so aggravating. And, when we the citizens want to enforce the laws, we are not listened to... our paper had to go on and on this morning, as per usual, about how "mean-spirited" Prop 200 is (which would enforce existing laws and not allow illegals certain benefits). I've probably mentioned this before; the overwhelming majority of Arizonans want to pass Prop 200, but the pols and media do not.

Maybe it's more of a guy kind of movie, but I just didn't see what all the fuss was about. It had a point, but it wasn't made very well, in my opinion, and gives the rabid leftists some ammunition for the claim of how "nasty" conservatives are. It was vulgar (to be expected from the South Park crew, so that was no surprise), lame in many parts and just generally unsatisfying. The story line was hokey, at best. I kept waiting for it to improve. It never did. I don't think this movie is going to change anybody's mind about terrorism, or actors, for that matter.
I have to admit that the Kim Jong Il puppet got a few snickers out of me and I thought he had the best line in the movie when he said "why is everybody so f***ing stupid?" F.A.G. (Film Actors Guild) was a nice touch, too.
Nully, you do NOT want to take your children to see this move! Trust me on this. It makes South Park look clean.
