Yea .. he moved up the latter pretty fast huh?

Might have something to do with his buddy Teddy Kennedy and how he once dated Jackie O's step sister back when the real JFK was still alive

No way! You know all the juicy stuff! I read on another thread today something about how JFK's father bought JFK's presidency...? I hadn't heard that before, wonder if it's true.

I just think it's sickening how we the taxpayers would have to pay gazillions of dollars for the Secret Service, etc. at all of Lurch's mansions were the unthinkable and unmentionable to happen.

Phew, yeah... there are definitely a few good ones around ... just not the Johns.

I took a lot of environmental law as part of my undergrad degree. But, back then enviro stuff was not so partisan.

Yes there's been talk and a few dozen books about Joe's deep pockets and his mob Union friends

There's nothing wrong with protecting the environmental .. but too many abused it and went to far (imo)

LOL about the "mob" crossed out! Good gracious. Is there anything not sleazy about those JFK and company people? My mom almost, almost broke off her engagement to my dad when she found out he was planning to vote for JFK. She was always a hard core Repub ever since she got off the boat :) Well, needless to say, ever since then he has been voting Repub, lol.

Well, being Irish and Catholic .. JFK's picture was on the wall, right next to the Pope's

A friend of the family back during his Adm worked at the White House and she was able to get my grandmother an autographed picture of him for for her. Mama loved that picture

I found out a few years ago that my dad was a registered Republican .. I guess I inherited his genes and common sense :0)

Geez ladies. I had my first date at 11. Of course, my date involved the boy's mother picking me up and taking us to the skating rink and sitting there and watching us all evening....not that there was any need. He was about as graceful on skates as John F'n doing an athlete, so I spent all evening skating with friends and other boys, and he spent all evening playing the pinball machine.

"Being a first-generation American, I'm used to such things..."

You have a fascinating history. That must have been difficult, the death of your boyfriend. I guess you were never meant to marry a Lithuanian.

Well, we financed Bubba's recreational activities. That still makes me furious. Him and that evil witch wife of his had an 8 year power party at the expense of the American people during which time everything that happened in the country was about them. I still get livid just thinking about it, and I certainly don't want another pompius, self-agrandizing RAT living off of my hard-earned money, or that of other Americans.

I moved away to college at 17, but I STILL wasn't allowed to date! My parents did have a prearranged marriage for me from the time I was five. Too bad the guy they hand-picked ended up becoming a priest. Being a first-generation American, I'm used to such things...

And they didn't make you become a nun after that?

Oh yes, and to add to my sob story, the second Lith man I was supposed to marry fell off a cliff at age 26 while hiking. I was 20 and on my way to see him.

Are you sure you didn't catch up with him just as he reached the edge?
I think I see a pattern here.

Absolutely.

Joe Kennedy was the head of the Irish Mob in Boston during Prohibition. That was the source of his money. He went to the mobbed up unions and to Joe Batters, the head of the Outfit in Chicago and made a deal for them to fix the election where necessary for JFK to win in exchange for a lessening of govt. pressure on them. He beat Nixon by a very narrow margin with obvious massive voter fraud in Illinois, Texas, West Virginia...Nixon was urged to challenge the outcome and call for recounts. Nixon said he wouldn't cause a constitutional crisis to win an election and conceded.
The Kennedy boys were so arrogant they thought they didn't have to keep their promise to the Mob and the crooked unions. Bobby Kennedy went after them as Atty General, and they assasinated both of them. The mob doesn't generally allow the killing of cops or prosecutors, but that prohibition does not apply to crooked cops and prosecutors.
