Really? My, but the weather has been erratic of late. You're not that far from me, and I came home and had to turn the AC on for a bit. I've had it off for a few days.
When I got home today, I discovered that someone had tried to break into my house. I don't think they actually did. Nothing seems to be missing, but the storm door was ajar and the frame on the inner door is busted. The actual lock is hanging by a couple of loose screws. Now I will be afraid to leave for work in the morning. And wouldn't you know that it would happen when my landlady is out of town.
What happened to FR, I lost the whole site.....

It went very well I thought. The judge agreed with my recommendation and obviously was none too impressed mom and dad. The dad said he thought that things would be easier to work out if the judge let the kids come home. The judge said if it was so much easier to solve their problems when the kids were with them, why hadn't they been able to do it for the past 11 years. I am probably the last one in our office to recommend removing kids from their home, but there are some cases....well, some people just shouldn't be paretns.

Nice pic. Yeah, I generally get up at 6 so I have a little time to FReep while I have my coffee. Only takes me about 10 minutes to get to work.

Speaking of lunch, we had a nice catered lunch at the courthouse, compliments of the review panel that came in to observe. Barbecue, beans, coleslaw, corn on the cob and blackberry cobbler. Then, this afternoon, I went back to the courthouse for a reception for our judge who was named juvenile court judge of the year. There was more food, but I restricted myself to a tiny slice of cake.

But the jury, last I knew, was still out on whether or not either has any real scientific benefit besides psychological and thus physical as result.
Oh Babe, I forgot that I had a story to tell you about a Chiropractor and what happened to my son's girlfriend.
She has been going to one for years for her bad back. (She's a black belt in Karate) sp?, probably how she got it. ;) Anyway, there was a new guy in town and she went for a consultation and he took ex-rays. When she went back to see them, he showed her all the boo boo's in her back.. and she said nothing and left.
When she got home, she said to my son, "you know, I think there may be a problem with the new guy". Evidently she has some missing teeth on one side, bottom, and the the ex-rays she was shown, the woman had a fullll set of teeth. lol I've heard of this happening before, but never this up close. This Dork was caught red-handed, and she's a little pissed.

Westy, talking about your coffee reminded me of something years ago. I don't mean to disparage a husband and wife relationship by telling it...but I know you loved your wife dearly and she spoiled you.
Years ago, we were at a weekend reunion of my ex-husband's family at a state park in Texas. We had a large lodge/kitchen main building and bunk houses scattered around.
I had a young baby, so I was up early with him, and went to sit on the porch of the lodge and have coffee. One man was up at the crack of dawn and had made a huge urn of wonderful coffee. Soon, other men began straggling in and got themselves a cup and sat down on the porch.
Then, this older man came up and sat down and was told coffee was inside. And this is how the conversation went.
Older man...I wish my wife would get up.
Coffee maker...Well, the ladies stayed up and gossiped until all hours last night. Lets let them sleep in.
Five minutes later
Older man...Darn, I wish my wife would get up.
Coffee maker...You sure must be in love to miss your wife so much after all these married years.
Older man...No, I just want my coffee.
Coffee maker...And you need your wife to bring you a cup of coffee? Hell (scuse me, lady) I'll go get you a cup. How do you like it, black, cream or sugar?
Older man...."I don't know. My wife always fixes it for me just right.
