"Hint: Lurch goes to Nully's basement!" With Mo's cake?
The only way I'll accept is under 6" of quicklime and 6' of dirt.

I do know they lost station SEP on the dome during the first phreatic explosion.
Did they lose more equipment?
I couldn't find any references to anything on ANY of the USGS and volcano web pages covering Helens.

You think my tagline'll get me in trouble?
Because I seem to be in disagreement with a lot of folks both here and on the raio talkshow rounds.

I finally saw one...a Kerry/Edwards yard sign.
Folks around here are yard sign crazy. Remember my picture? LOL Now, I have seen a few dem signs for local and state offices, so I know they have visited the campaign site. But, until today, I had not seen even one Kerry/Edwards. I guess the dems around here are not going to be voting straight ticket.

Nope. I think Kerry won the debate too. He was rested, manicured and had crib notes...

I don't think so but I guess I'm not paying much attention to what everyone else seems to be paying attention to. I mean, can't I have my own opinions?
I don't look at who's taller or more manicured or how glib he talks.
I'm paying more attention to what they are saying, I'm substance-minded.
President Bush, even though he was not as smooth as Sen. Kerry, was moew sincere in what he believes and in what he deems is the right thing to do.
Alright! Kerry did win in as far as style is conceerned
But President Bush won in what came stuttering out of his mouth.

Pippin, I think Bush won the debate, too. I think the media and some of our Freepers have turned the definition of debating into something else.
The analysis of the debate reminds me of a Miss America contest. The judges score points on appearance, posture, style and personality. Do you really think the judges give a whit of the contestant's intelligence or opinion of world issues?

Station SEP was a seismic station sitting on top of the lava dome at Mt St Helens.
During the first steam explosion it was either broken or obliterated.

Scientists said they do not expect anything close to the devastation of Mount St. Helen's May 18, 1980, explosion, which killed 57 people and coated much of the Northwest with ash.
"Of course the volcano reserves the right to change its mind," said monument scientist Peter Frenzen with the U.S. Forest Service, which operates the park.

Not sure what all was lost - just caught a brief clip on NewsWorld earlier.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of gawkers are trying to get close for the blow.
