Whats the best all time movie music?
Vanity | September 17th2004 | Vanity

What's the best movie music of all time? John Williams and Star Warsor all the hits from Chicagohow about Joplin's rags from The Sting or the opening scene from 2001? I know I like the renditions of the Navy Hymn from The Perfect Storm you have to be hard hearted not to get a lump in your throat during that scene, and the rendition in The Crimson Tide. So Drama, musicals, Comedies, chick flicks, westerns, SciFi, etc. which movie has the best music? What's your vote?

Three that come to mind are Last of the Mohicans, Henry V (Brannah version), and Gladiator.

Last of the Mohican's is nice. The score complements the scenery very well. It's not exactly a movie but the Victory at Sea score is great.

The music from "Manos - The Hands Of Fate".

Especially the hauntingly beautiful "love theme".

Hehehe

I think that song in "Chariots of Fire" was Jerusalem. I didn't know it was also played at Reagan's funeral.

Not certain but I think the words are from Blake's poem of the same name. BTW the theme of Chariots was also pretty good.

I think my favorite was Laura's theme from Dr. Zhivago. Star Wars as others have said was also great.

Oops, can't forget....The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, actually that should be the theme song for the 2004 Presidential Race.
