MARK LEVIN'S RADIO PROGRAMMED JAMMED!
WABC Radio NYC

Posted on 09/17/2004 4:49:56 PM PDT by BombHollywood

Curtis Sliwa of WABC radio is reporting that DNC operatives in Michigan managed to jam WABC's radio signals in New York knocking Mark Levin's radio show off the air. Anybody know anything about this

I hope everything is okay. I just love listening to him and hope we see more of him on television during the next few weeks giving us his election commentary. Perhaps it is the tornado activity in the DC area.

I was on my commute home listening to Levin when he went off the air. He was in the middle of breaking the story from ABC News about Staudt's statement (and he was very angry I might add). Curtis said that McCauliffe was just broadcasting out of Chicago and thinks the signal was somehow jammed from there.

I believe I read that WABC runs 50kw and a decent antenna setup, so any jamming would have to use some serious transmitter power and antenna gain . It is doubtful this happened, but if it did, the FCC Enforcement Division should easily discover the source. These guys do not play games!

I have you tin foil.........I hate to mention this but only since you mentioned the internet.

I live north of Atlanta in north Forsyth County. We had wicked rain & wind yesterday from Ivan. Well, yesterday the phones went out. As long as I have lived here, it is the first time ever we lost phone service.

No dial tone. This morning it was back at about 10:00. Okay, I thought, part of the storm.

Well it has since happened 3 times since. The most recent about 10 minutes ago. I have dsl. I realize it when I get an "unable to find server" page." Pick up my recever, sure enough no dial tone.

It has been calm here, no strong wind since about 5pm.

Any Ga Freepers expiriencing the same? Is it because of storm damage? Or do I need to take the tin foil hat off.

Well I'm not from GA, and my condolences on the storm damage-stay safe, but since you're working with my tin foil & I'm feeling gracious...better safe than sorry! *L*

We were lucky-no damage.

Remember all of the lost signals from Las Veagas yesterday during Kerry's speech?

We'll split that last peice of tin foil. I'll go to the store & buy some more.
:-)

At least they didn't replace it with Radio Havana.

I just check the Air America website. WROC is now one of their affiliates. (http://newstalk950.com/)

Check Hannity's site for alternatives.
