Vince McMahon to Lead CBS News
CBS News (confidential source) ^ | 9/16/04 | Source at CBS News

I got a word from a high placed source at CBS News, that VIACOM is in intense negotiations with Vince McMahon of WWF-fame to replace Andrew Heyward as a President to recast CBS as an open fake-news-only organization.

The allegation is out there.

It's now CBS' burden to disprove it.

Well, shucks! I had my money on CBS hiring Andrew Gilligan to ride in and save the day. It looks like I lost.

Your source is a liar.

However, Vince McMahon and Andrew Heyward do exist and do hold the jobs cited in your rumour. They could have met and made this agreement.

Therefore, this rumour must be presumed true, and the onus is on CBS to disprove it.

You know, I highly doubt that your "source" has any idea what he is talking about. However, this raises some very serious questions, and I think CBS needs to respond to those questions.

It could make interviews more interesting: The interviewer catches you in a lie, and then the Big Show or Goldberg comes out to choke-slam you thorough a desk . . .

I won't believe this true story until I see the faked memo.

I know an 86 year old lady who knows they are fake, but vouches for the content.

They'll have to get the memo to Kinko's first. Paging Bill Burkett...

No, it's not enough.

As Rush often says:

"The best way to illustrate absurdity
is by being absurd."

Let's keep it up.

That would make it the XBS.
Bring it on! They could keep
Rather but just change his name
to He Hate Me!

Can you guys help me since I am new at this I don't know where to look. Last night someone posted all the addresses to send email complaints. It was a very long posting and it had the email address for the President of CBS. Does anyone remember this that could tell me where to find info?

As long as we can have Stacy Keibler and Trish Stratus as the news anchors...

A memo was found today by a well placed person in the CBS organization. We here at FReeRepublic want to let the reader know that even though the memo is possibly fraudulent, the content is true, according to our geriatric secretary Buelah F. Frump, possible former CBS secretary for an underling's cousin of Dan Rather.

CBS NEWS MEMO 1972

DAN RATHER, ANCHORMAN

Dear President Nixon:

On behalf of all of us here at CBS we want to thank you for the great time had by all when we were included in the Watergate break in.

G. Gordon Liddy is a really fun guy.

We here at CBS want you to know that we have covered up that other break in of the House Ways and Mean's Committee offices. That was a real party too...Booze

...Babes

...Wah Hoo!

Sincerely, Danny (yer bud) Rather.
