Super Lab Vanity

Mega kudos to my wife, fellow freepers. Here's how her day went:

After she dropped the kids off at school, she kept thinking that she heard a dog's cry for help. The nieghbor across the street (he got my lab for me) said that he could barely hear it also.

It was very faint, and it was one of those sounds that you are not really sure that you are hearing.

Anyways, the nieghbor across the street left for work, and my wife, all alone was haunted by the sound she kept thinking that she heard,

It wasn't until Duke and Balto, our own poopers alerted, that she waspositive she heard something...

She proceeded to investigate by snooping in the nieghbors huge lot across the street.

Way off, adjacent to the river, in the back of these people's lot, a female lab had climbed into their pool and could not get out. The pool was filled with dead possums and birds.

My wife said the the dog had quit whining by the time she got there and was barely hanging on. It was a very heavy dog and she had to pull it out of the green, slimy water, over the side, by its collar.

She called the owner on the tag and all is well. (The people who have the pool were supposed to be watching the dog -- not good).

Anyways, my wife feels really good about it, and rightfully so!!!

I'm sick of politics for one week and went looking for dog threads.

I may be late but pat your wife on the back again.
