Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'd lend you some whipped cream...but my transporter is malfunctioning...
Yeah, that's about what the ice cream I mentioned is - dark, dark chocolate ice cream with thick chocolate syrup and chocolate chunks. I THINK it even had brownie bits. In any case, it's veeeeeery chocolatey. Yum!

I've been thinking of naming my car "Dilandu" for no good reason...

"BURN!"
Heh... Escaflowne is such a hard show to watch with a straight face when you know what's gonna happen. I'm having such fun teaching these girls about anime, though! And I recognize so much more Japanese than I did in January, I'm enjoying Esca just for the "Oh, Van doesn't use "nii-san" for his brother," and the "Dilandu uses the less masculine of the masculine pronouns... that fits" moments.

OT: yes it was enjoyable; they put similar events on a couple times a year. Gypsy will likely sleep 'vey' well tonight, make that, has been sleeping very well tonight. :-)
Bulb planting on the agenda tommorrow, it is starting to feel like fall just a bit, though the leaves don't show it yet.
Bear: thanks for the reminder about 'Lost'. It was pretty good. A few twists that were a surprise, comes on at a bad time, but there is the recorder.
Good night.

Heh. I guess you can still plant stuff after Oct. 29 'round these parts.

Glad you liked it! The regular time is Wednesdays at 8E/7C... tonight was just a replay.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
What's it about, anyway? I could probably get my hands on it if I wanted...

A group of people survive a plane crash on a *very* mysterious island... lots of strange things going on, not to mention the survivors themselves each have their own secrets!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Hmmm... could be interesting. Especially if they all started mysteriously dying, one at a time, and there's no one on the island but them - wait, that was "Ten Little Indians". Never mind.

Well, you see, it's apparently a tropical island, but they kill a polar bear. Something large and unseen is making noise and knocking down trees... and there are other things going on....
