Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I do have a very nice friend who lives in Ohio. I've known him since I was 15, so I can vouch that he isn't a weirdo.
Christian guy, never married, sweet as pie. His family is Catholic, but he's since become a non-denominational. And he's cute too!
He just never found the ~right~ girl. He wants to wait for the Lord to lead him to her.
Hmmm.....

I don't think I've ever had a close friend in RL. When I was with my family, that was ok, we all did stuff together and I had people like you, and my English pen-pal, for close stuff. Now... I have coworkers who are fun to chat with, classmates, some of whom may become friends. I hang out with the anime people and mostly I have fun. But sometimes, particularly on weekends or on the 1,000th dateless Friday night, that I want people around.
By Tuesday I'll be sick of people again, never fear...

It wasn't any faster for us to load those pics than it was for you on dial up.... it's the speed they are sending that was the issue!

Being an equal opportunity matchmaker, I'll just post a link to the pic I have uploaded and wait for responses. *sly smile*
He's the tall guy on the left.
He'd kill me if he knew I was doing this, BTW.

Oh cool it worked! This is a little bird I found tangled in a nylon mesh when in the city garden when I went running earlier. I cut it out with fingernail scissors and it was away in a flash

I don't know what to do!
It's gonna be a pain to change hosts, but I can't live with boomspeed anymore. I'm paying for this, you know?

I sometimes wish an angel would just drop down and point to where I should be, but that doesn't appear to be likely!Sounds like you need a Wizard to give you a little nudge out the door! ;o)

Wow, that's neat! We use that kind of net on our coop, and birds get in there now and then...I go in, catch 'em and toss them out.
I just put the chickens back in the coop. They stay in the enclosed run till they all finish laying then I let them out in the evening.

Get Snapfish.... it's free for a year, and even then you just have to order a couple prints, which are cheap.

Jr. told me at lunch today that, although we left $100 spending money for groceries/food, that wife's sister did not offer him dinner any night but Friday when they ordered pizza.Wha???? And this woman is supposed to be a GRITS? You feed EVERYBODY in the house, whether anyone left any money for them or NOT!! Sorry, but that just fries me!

Hey... man, you didn't tell me "Full Moon" had a
happy ending! I was looking forward to some nice bittersweet closing episode!
Guess it was, by Shakespearen defintions at least, a comedy after all. Next on the schedule will be FLCL, to give me something to watch until I get my hands on Eva.

Sounds like a plan.
Now, I have to make sure I get boomspeed to understand that I am cancelling or they may keep asking for money.
