Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Uh, well okay.
Seriesly, it looks pretty interesting though not something I think I would have the patience to do. Hope you do well with it.

Chiklis has the right attitude for Ben Grimm :) I think the looks will fall into place from there, since the Thing's physical appearance is bound to be largely makeup-driven no matter who plays the role. But yeah, Alba's a little too "Elektra-ish" to be Sue. I remember one issue where Sue went on a talk show and blasted feminists who were criticizing her for keeping her husband's last name.

It looks kinda fun, and won't involve too much coding (gasp! I've got too much code to write already!)

Was just wondering if you'd ever seen Alba in the Fox TV series, "Dark Angel".
I'm curious to see where they go with Sue's character in the movie...

The voice is a clip of Mulder from "The X-Files". Early on in the show he had the nickname "Spooky".
To: JenB
It does look fun. Looks like something my husband would be interested in doing. I would watch *giggle*

I really regret not watching X-Files. Just never caught it when it was on.

I never watched "Dark Angel"--from the ads it looked to me like it was going to be another version of "Alias".

Seeya!
For me, it's time for the thing I've been looking forward to all day... Fullmetal Alchemist! Woot!
I am going to be an emotional wreck when this series ends.

Very nice... very nice indeed... :-)

I saw a huge Rossi sign near the Hilltop (of all places). Had to be 4 feet by 5 feet. I'm not a real confident fella about it, but I'd love almost more than anything for Gregoire to get beat. Her corruption was part of the mess at my last workplace.
To: Fedora
It does have some similiarities to "Alias", but it was set in a rather interesting near-future, post-apocalyptic world. The main character ("Dark Angel", played by Alba) was one of a group of genetically-engineered super-soldiers who had escaped from the research compound where they were raised, and gone underground. Rose and I liked it quite a bit....

Hey - I did read back that you think you might be in the job hunt again.... have you got an idea of where you'd like to go?

Yah... agreed. I'd love to see Gregoire get beat. I have, unfortunately, a bad feeling about this one.
She got the name recognition, and given the liberal nature of many WA voters, that's about all it takes.
To: trini
Good night; hope your cold clears up soon.
