Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's on CNN right now... he's in Ohio, holding a midnight "rally" and giving a speech to try to respond to the Republican convention.

I better keep working on it, then.

Needs some VBscript, maybe...
Well, still have to go to work tomorrow, I'd better get to bed... good night all...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
That's dumb. Did the Republicans "respond" to the dim-con?

Nope, this has never been done before.
Have a good night!

Just because its never been done before doesn't mean that it is outside of some "boundary" that the dems won't touch. The dems are all about breaking rules and ignoring the popular sentiment. For them its about power and rule and little else. At any cost.
Kerry could send out a press release that he'd been molesting boy scouts, and the media would be pushing the boy scouts to explain why they were discriminating against the good positive message about "inclusive" sexual messages.
Have faith, troopers. All is not lost just yet, in fact... quite the reverse. Stay tuned. I think most people are getting it. I really think we're looking at a 1980 sort of win for us this time. This may not be nearly so close as it is advertised to be.

I had no idea real estate agents just e-mail properties for you to look at first. We have a friend who is a realtor and she hooked me up with her website. I can search for houses for sale all over the state! You can set the parameters, town, lot size, square footage, etc. I like it just to keep current with home values. Even though we decided not to move, we want to know what others are selling for in the area.

But the movement when he started in about the difficulty of sending soldiers in harms way I thought there for a moment that he was just about to lose his composure and tear up.He almost always does that when talking about sending soldiers off to war. He's a GOOD man!
I enjoyed it, and agree with your idea of the symphony. It was quiet and effective at first, then when he finished the 'business' part of it, he got cookin. I just LOVED the "we call it walking" line. That kind of broke the ice and it transitioned into a more folksy tone. I also love the comment that if he was too blunt, "you need to blame the lady with the white hair up there". He just LOVES his parents, and I think people really respect that!
Cool about the guys in the bar supporting the President!

Does he have a receding hair line?Well, now that you mention it...
How does that connect? 'Cause of TV or sumpin? ;-)
Actually, he had one professor who told him he'd never make it in meterology because he's got a Long Island accent...heh.

Good morning! No time to chat...gotta get the jedis up and eating breakfast. Celeste is going out of town for a get-together with old friends (she does this every other year) and I'm going to her house to watch her kids today till Andrew gets home.
I'll take the laptop, so I'll be freepin' from her house. See you later on.

The song that is on right now "I hope you dance" always makes me bawl. Our college president based her speech at the graduation on that song...a little quirky, but it worked. *snif*

Cruisin' through the shire. Ya'll got some cornbread for an elf in this newly dug hole?
Just wanted to pass on prayers for the Florida bunch this weekend. Ya'll know you've all got a home-away-from home here in tornado alley - right?
On my way out of town myself. Bless you all.

Good morning! Happy Friday!
I'm still reading parts of Bush's speech that I missed last night, but feeling right good about the election right now.
