Retired General McPeak is the LAST person who should be talking about integrity, honor, and military service. I served under McPeak during the time he practically destroyed the Strategic Air Command. Almost everyone despised him for his irrational changes to the structure of SAC, and the Air Force is still continuing to undo his marks on the Command. Unfortunately, he didn't realize his mistakes because everyone was afraid to confront him. He is/was arrogant, snippy, unwise, and a bad commander. This guy's words should be totally disregarded.

Kind of like Weasley Clarke, I have yet to find a officer or a soldier who had served under him or with him that speak highly of him.
If anything, much like McPeak we all thought Clarke was crazy.

I assumed as much by watching his commercial.
Who is this guy?
Why do I care what he thinks?
How much is he being paid?
Those Dems are pretty desperate, to dig up some dude and give him a commercial.

while we all might want to take your word for it you're going to have to do a little better with supporting evidence, etc. considering your fr account creation date is 9-1-2004.

Welcome aboard, flyboy (girl?)! We're so glad to have you.
You aren't by any chance one of the callers I heard on talk radio the other day calling in about McSqueak, are you? I can't remember which show. There were about a dozen calls expressing the same sentiments as you. Apparently he is one huge failure in the honor department.
Can we come up with a FLYVETS FOR TRUTH AND AGAINST MCSQUEAK?

worked myself in PACAF HQ, while McPeak was there, he ran his poor staff silly for bottled water, and friday lunch.
I don't think he was very respected as a people person type of leader.
WE HAVE TO REMEMBER WHEN HE WENT TO THE AF CHIEF OF STAFF JOB, AND WHO WAS CINC AT THE TIME.....THEN REMEMBER THE "very very short time he was there"

Almost everyone despised him for his irrational changes to the structure of SAC, and the Air Force is still continuing to undo his marks on the Command. I worked for AT&T in the late 90's and C. Michael Armstrong did the same thing to them. Look at what Ma Bell has been reduced to because John Walters was considered too stupid to run the biggest Company in the world.
This General has not received a positive comment from any one connected with the USAF.
PS: John hope you are enjoying your 25 million dollar buyout!

Someone yesterday said McPeak was angry because he didn't get a promotion. He's like those fools, Clarke and Wilson. And Wesley Clarke. Another crackpot. How can McPeak say he's for Kerry because Kerry would be strong on defense? Out of his ever loving mind.

He had been labelled a terrorism expert by KGW news(Portland,or)so we got to see him nightly since Afghanistan. The impression I had of him was that he felt he belonged in the White House making the decisions and since Bush did not even ask for his advice that was proof enough for him that Bush was terrible. I just chalked it up as another retired general that can not believe he has been replaced. And no one came and begged him to come back and straighten everything up.
